Pleasant lunch and ale

Our first lunch in New York in this pub was memorable. We tried 4 types of beers and though our palate did not fully appreciate some of them the food and service was wonderful and we enjoyed our lunch tremendously. Highly recommend.

We loved the 3-piece sliders and the grilled halloumi and quinoa salad. Nice choice of international beers, too.

Great bar with a quaint atmosphere. Lots of quality craft brews to choose from. Luke, the bartender, was very personable and helpful.

We spent a very happy few hours here on a rainy afternoon, having a late lunch and sampling a few of the many, many beers on tap! It's true that the bar has a loyal local clientele, all greeted by name by the bar staff, but this just shows that Blind Tiger is doing things right. We received good service... More

I'd been looking forward to a visit to the BT for months being a fan of UK real ale and the US craft scene, and heeding advice that it was packed in the evenings we visited about 3pm on a Friday. All the tables were full and there were a few people at the bar, but not absolutely rammed. We... More

I always visit this gem of a place whenever I`m lucky enough to visit New York. . I`m not sure why this is listed under Restaurants because it is a pub/bar. The selection of beers is good with 28 on tap the last time I was there. This place never disappoints , highly recommended.

If you've read a few of my recent reviews already you've probably guessed I've been on a bit of a beer tour. I've been to some top class establishments but this place is at the very top. 28 beers and ciders on tap plus up to three on cask. They frequently push local breweries and seem to have weekly beer... I fell in love with that place the moment I entered! Small, cozy, I just felt great in there. Nice craft beer choice, excellent service, the staff knows their beers and they are great to recommend you something going with you taste!

What the Blind Tiger lacks in decor, it more than makes up in excellence. The draft selection was very interesting, with a good variety of brew types. The bottle list is also very extensive. The food looked decent, and the regulars were very fun to chat beer with. Probably the best craft beer bar in lower Manhattan.

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
