Noisy, Fun, Yummy Beer

Can't imagine what this place was like on St. Patrick's day, since the following day when we were there was hopping crazy. Try as many beers as you can... they're amazing.

Blind Tiger trends toward a youngish crowd, but not horribly. The atmosphere they generate is really OK comfortable. Look, I met friends there. And it's so much not my kind of place that I drank wine in that craft beer bar. But listening to friends expound on the finer points of brewing, I found my malbec was really pretty good.... More

I was a Tiger customer first in 2004, back then it was a pub with the best beer in NYC, and a true pub with atmosphere, whenever in the city I have always made an effort to get to Bleecker. Today sure there are nice beers still, cask was a little warm, keg a little too cold and US glasses... More

Also great bar food selections. Get in early and try and nab a table and spend the night rubbing shoulders with the west village locals and work your way through their 30 plus beer list. Excellent choice.

Excellent range and choice of craft beers, we always come here when we are in NYC, in fact our first stop! The bar itself is quite big and has a lovely fire but can get very busy so if you want a table, get here early! The bar staff are very helpful and will talk through all the 50 PLUS... More

Excellent range of Craft beers with equally excellent service (Anne was our waitress; very friendly and helpful with great beer advice too). The food and atmosphere were superb as well. Really couldn't fault it. Surrounding area was lively and interesting as well. We'll definitely go back here next New York trip. Found it on a list of 10 best NY... More

Went here for a few drinks after brunch down the block. The bar is very open with wooden floors and a fireplace on one side. It gets very crowded and sometimes hard to get a spot but everyone is pretty friendly. Lots of different beer on tap so we tried a bunch.

This bar was a great find. Loads of choice of beer. It was busy all the time therefore you may have to stand and not get a table. The food looked nice although u never tried it as it was just too busy to enjoy a meal. Service was fast. Really enjoyed my visit

The Blind Tiger is a reliable spot. Great bar for conversing with friends outside of the loud and fancier club scene. Consistently crowded, albeit with a typically younger crowd. Good beer selection -- not the best in New York, but a solid variety with a few staples. Food is average, but four stars for the good beer and consistency.

This place can get rammed really easy. My advice: if you're on holiday go for a post lunch lazy afternoon of relaxed beers and a few sides from the menu. When it's minus 10C outside, order another IPA and forget about the weather. We rewarded ourselves for a long morning of galleries and walking with an afternoon of touring some... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
