Small shop, which offers excellent pork sandwiches. Liked the Vietnamese variation in particular. Not cheap, but high quality for a on-the-go snack.

My wife and I heard about this place on the Food Network. We decided to walk across town for a late lunch. All I can say is wow! The Pork melts in your mouth. I had a PorkSlap beer with my sandwich...which was a fun pairing. This place is a tiny little hole in the wall that is really fun.... More

After just arriving in Manhattan today, we wandered around and saw this tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant, serving only pork and chicken (the latter requires a wait). We split a pork sandwich and it was delicious! In Ecuador, we would call this 'hornado.' Very juicy and tasty!

If you love pork, you must visit. Very small place so consider take out. The basic Porchetta sandwich is a classic. Recently added a Thai Porchetta sandwich that was equally great. Worth a stop if you are passing through the lower East Side.

We enjoyed our porchetta sandwich on the front benches of this tiny shop. Often times I prefer food I make at home myself, but this undertaking with pork is one I'll leave up to the professionals at Porchetta. Check it out when you're craving a filling sandwich!

The blend of spices is redolent of home cooked meals and family gatherings. My family enjoyed the sandwiches as well as the vegetables. Nevertheless, the establishment is very small. Overall, Porchetta is highly recommended if you are in the mood for an authentic meal.

Beautifully scented and flavored meat. It's definitely worth a stop on your East 7th Street taste-trawl.

Tiny place, but delicious food. If you like pork with skin, this is the spot for you. Great sandwich and plates. The prices have gone up considerably, now a sandwich is $14. Used to be $9 when I first start going there. But they are still very good.

My partner heard great things about this place and as a pork-lover was anticipating something pretty special. Unfortunately, she was extremely unimpressed with the food - the pork was very salty and very dry, little crackling - and what crackling was there was not crunchy. The sides were really good though. We were there shortly before closing - maybe it... More

It is really good and crunchy. Also it is organic meat, but it wasnt season well, little bit dry and pricy for the amount of food. Boricua pernil sandwich comes with mayo, ketchup, swiss cheese, tomato, lettuce and potatoes sticks. Two sandiwch and one share potatos and burnt ends and we paid $34 in a place not sutiable to sit... More
