Ecellent value

The queue for this cart is really long but moves fast. It seems to be really very popular. Quick and delicious basic halal food. You either order chicken on rice or lamb on rice or a mixture of both. The quantity is large and can easily fill two people if needed. They give you 2 types of sauces... read more

Oh my gosh this was absolutely insane! I had chicken and yellow rice with that magic white sauce! OMG I grabbed this and sat in Bryant Park which is a 10 minute walk. Unreal

I have heard about these guys for a couple years, and finally made my way there. Great food and lots of it! Worth the line!

I miss street food. On this last trip, I had many business meetings in (generally) very fine restaurants. But, what I really wanted was a street dog or something like that. The Halal Guys fit the bill wonderfully; I ate there twice, ordering the chicken and gyro mix over rice. Flavorful, tasty, perfect size for a meal or heavy snack.... More

Fresh chicken over rice with amazing garlic and hot sauce. This place is a must for us everytime we visit NYC. Its best if you go after 10pm as the lines are not that crazy. Best hangover food!!! Highly recommended!!!

Not that bad for street food. It's cheap and it's tasty but it will not compete with good restaurants. Its 7$ for a plate and the hot sauce is very very hot carreful with that.

Have loved them in the past but last night the chicken was dry and the falafel came with 6 pieces of bread and only 2 falafels. What did they think I would eat the break with?????

I had the falafel over rice twice. Don't forget to put the yoghurt sauce on it and you'll have an unbelievably delicious meal. Be careful with the hot sauce though, it's very very spicy. What's more: Price is around 7$; the line can be long, especially in the evening. But the halal guys are fast ;)

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
