As soon as we arrived in New York, we went to see the Halal guys...EXCELLENT... The next night Per Se--Also excellent..1ST choice. Life is what you make it. I would equally recommend both places aa a must try in NYC. Get out and experience the city... more

Great food. Been going there for years. Whenever I find myself anywhere in midtown, needing a meal, I hit up my standby. Chicken, lamb, or a combination of both. I generally stick with the lamb (gyro type meat). Now, as other reviewers have mentioned, there are imposters! Here's the deal, go to the southwest corner where you have the stand... more

Anyone who says street sellers such as this serve good food must be either clinically insane or have very low standards. I am from the UK and these places serve worse food than the most hideous donner kebab emporium you could possibly imagine. This food is not fit for animal consumption let alone human! Cheap cuts of meat that are... more

Make sure you go to the one that has the "Halalguys.com" on their umbrella. The others are impostors. All of this food for only $6 ?! Delicious, but be careful. The red sauce is hot...I mean hot. Drops will do. I had the chicken but judging from the line the lamb is probably good too. I went at night, but... more

This is a must stop whenever I'm in New York - been dining here for 15-20 years. Problem is, everyone knows about it now. The last few times there's been a 50-person line. Raining tonight, so walked right up. You simply can't beat this for $6.00. Lamb or chicken, rice, salad and pita. Pretty simple. I love hot sauce, but... more

Don't fall for the ones before 7:30 PM; they are not the same. There are twp at night: one on southeast and one on southwest side of intrersection. Yellow and red plastic bags outside the Hilton and China Grill. $6, no frills, delicious. S'west one has longer lines but across the street is the same food. more

This is so good and cheap. You have to try this if you get the chance. The only downfall is the hours- 7:30pm to 4:00 am. more

We are from Houston and had to try this vendor from all the reviews. We ate there on Oct 2nd and it was worth the wait in line. We waited about 20 minutes. The food was really tasty. The white sauce was terrific and I even like their hot sauce, but beware it is HOT. The price is great too... more

Well the food is not that bad if your drunk and coming from the Club at 4am in the morning. But coming from Texas or Atlanta I would prefer a nice warm Ihop, Waffle House or Dennys anyday of the week. more

The food was good and the value for New York was good BUT I don't get what all the hype is about. I think there are many more restaurants in New York that should be the #1 pick on TripAdvisor. more
