We went here one night around 7:30 because the reviews were so good. There was a long line that went fast, the prices were reasonable, the service was friendly enough. We ordered 2 orders of chicken with rice and I shared them with my two kids 6 and 12. It didn't have a lot of flavor, so I didn't eat... More

Eaten there many times and love it. It is always fresh and good! Great especially if you are sight seeing and don't want to take forever with a restaurant. the line looks long but they are so quick that you have food in no time.

Your plate is the following: Shredded chicken or beef (or both) on a bed of lettuce (too much of it for my liking), some orange (tomato flavored most likely) basmati rice with and some shreds of pitta bread. All smothered in the owners secret white sauce (that tasted very much like ranch dressing). All for $6! Excellent deal to be... More

Yes, there is a huge queue but it moves very quickly. I had the mix over rice which cost $6. The meal was huge! I couldn't eat it all.

During my visit to New York I tried this stall based on trip advisor review. I found it's more physiological effect of queue rather than extraordinary food. Same company's stall 2 streets away was empty (which I noticed on my way back) and almost 15-20 people queuing in heavy rain. Although the wait wasn't that long. In general good food... More

My husband and I make it a point to stop here at least once during each trip to NYC. We've never had to wait in a terribly long line, but it would be worth it no matter what. It's cheap and it's delicious. We'll keep coming back!

Two Gyro and Chicken over Rice with two soda's for $15 and only a few blocks from Central Park. I can understand why people queue for the 'Guys'. The food is good quality and excellent value for money. Four of us shared two meals as a lunchtime snake and there was easily enough to go around.

I've been aware of this cart for several years now. I was staying at the Hilton, across the street, and finally tried it and glad that I did. The Halal Guys always have a long line at their cart. There are always cars full of people stopped along the street here, eating their lamb, chicken and rice bowls. One has... More

Still as good as it was before. A steal for $7 including a drink! Lined up every time we pass by. Best street food there is!

I'm usually in New York for no more than two days at a time, but I will always, no matter what, no matter how full I am, always, go and get me some of their chicken and rice and douse it with their white (crack) sauce. Forget that it's so cheap, it's absolutely delicious. I don't come here to eat... More
