Good food and nice atmosphere

We got a tip from the concierge at our hotel about Bobby Van. We appreciated the italian style and had good pasta. Tried the spaghetti frutti de mare. A lot of food. Good, but a little way to go to beat the best Italien ones.

We dined here at the recommendation of our hotel concierge. Honestly, we did better just picking a place off the street the night before. The service was really not good. We waited at least an extra half hour just to get our check, with waiters wAlking by our table and not even looking at us, much less asking if we... More

Starting with the positives, the location is convenient and the service was great, very attentive. Our meal was nothing like we expected. My husbands steak looked impressive but it tasted just okay. He's had much better at many other restaurants. My ravioli was very bland and tasted like something I could get at any casual restaurant. There are just too... More

Wonderful service, Fantastic food. We had scallops for appetizers, largest I have ever had. Two people in our party had filet, one had salmon and we all thought it was excellent.

Bobby Vans is a great dining experience in the plush Park Lane area of New York. The restaurant is old New York and the service is that of an era long since passed. From start to finish the experience of Bobby Vans is welcoming. The food is plentiful and mouth watering. The food is first class, the presentation is excellent... More

Bobby Vann's on 50th Street is the perfect Midtown steakhouse. As soon as you walk in the can smell the smoke from the steaks almost ingrained in the history of the restaurant. This is a typical American steakhouse with dark wood decor and large mirrors. The choice of steak is good and all are served on the large size even... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
