Great food

We have been visting Ginger on all our trips to NYC and this time I felt that I should definitely write a review. It is a great Resturant located at the 7th avenue and we have always had lunch here. Great food, very well priced for the portion sizes! Lots to choose from & friendly staff. My Dad had the seafood with fried noodles & it was packed with seafood. My sweet & sour chicken couldn't have had more meat in if it tried! Really nice.

The food was average, not worth the walk from our hotel, and the experience would have been acceptable if not for the surly server who took our order. There are many other choices in New York, and next time, I'll go else where.

This Chinese restaurant not a long a walk from Time Square was the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. Thanks to other trip advisor reviews we chose this place for dinner. Some of the staff don't speak fluent English but we had no trouble at all ordering our meal and drinks. They had happy hour from 5-8pm I think... More

The food was typical Chinese fare that you'd find anywhere. The prices were very reasonable for NYC. My kids loved the Lo Mein.

The food here is amazing! Excellent value... Can recommend the Lo Mein (which is like Chow Mein in the UK) and the General Tso's Chicken! Also the happy hour for cocktails lasts from 4-8pm everyday and cocktails are only $4.50.. so cheap for NYC and really tasty! Can't wait to go back to Gingers!

This is a very simple restaurant between Times Square and Penn Station. The dish I ordered, pork with sauteed green beans, slightly spicy, was very good. Our waitress was professional and pleasant. When we arrived at 5:30 very few people were there but by the time we left it was full.

We ate here last weekend. Everything was really very good. We had spicy chicken, calamari in black bean sauce and lo mien. The food had a nice spice flavor, and there was plenty to eat. The service was polite and speedy. If in Midtown again, I would seek this restaurant out for lunch or dinner. They have a full bar,... More

With limited time and unwilling to brave the cold weather, I stopped at Ginger's on 7th Avenue between 37th & 38th for some Chinese food. Although the hostess who seated me was courteous, the servers were slow and just on the edge of surly, and I observed that other diners were experiencing the same poor quality of service. The food... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
