Good restaurant

Had a good meal here. I can recommend the ribs and the chicken. I had fries which were great, but my friend had the salad which initially came with the wrong dressing and was incredibly small.

For such a busy spot, the service was fast.... The family ordered and had food out within 15 minutes. The wait was very short, and the wait staff was excellent. I've been here twice, and it gets better with each visit. I look forward to the next time.

For many years, we have gone to Dallas Barbeque (usually at East 73rd street) and have enjoyed their simple menu and delicious ribs. Recently, the service at the East 73rd street location has been poor, so we decided to go to 42nd street (which we had visited several times, but not recently). To note, we are both pretty easy-going and... More

7 hungry people had a great lunch here - burgers, ribs and steak. Service was excellent even though place was busy. Thanks Telli :-) Restaurant is huge, so even during lunch hour on 42nd street, there's still space. Food was great. Lunch portions were large but sane. Other portions were XL. The baby back ribs are a must.

Great value lunch special. Food is tasty and portions are large. Service was ok. No dessert menu though and no refills on the sift drinks - first americAn restaurant that I have known to not offer this.

I had to send the food back as despite the fries and cornbread being hot the ribs were 100% cold. When I finally received my meal it was only sub-par. Staff seemed grumpy and dis-interested :-( In fairness they were very busy but I didn't even get an apology for the issue with my meal.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to a show. Huge place and lots of commotion. Food was very reasonably priced. We both had half a chicken, white meat that came with cornbread and salad for 10.99. Chicken and cornbread good quality. Barbecue sauce poured over top if chicken was too sweat for my taste. Why go to NYC... More

Probably the best value restaurant we found during our trip. There was a huge queue to be seated but it moved quickly so don't let it put you off! Very good value! The portions are huge! I had steak and beef rib combo with a mountain of fries and coleslaw and I think it was $17! The cocktails are great... More

The place is packed. I mean packed!! The food is good, considering they are preparing for the masses. You're seated, and before you know it, the plate filled with fries, cole slaw, and bbq chicken is put in front of you. It's good stuff, but you can't help but feel rushed, simply because of the crowd. Also, the lines for... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
