Great spot

We where stopped out the front of da gennaros by a young guy from Brooklyn who recommend we stop for a late lunch, the service was spot on and the food and wine didn't disappoint. Recommend!!

Absolutely terrible. Service was nonexistent. I had the gnocchi and it was the worst I have ever had. Flavorless and cold. My friend got the lasagne and she said it was ok but nothing to write home about. There are better options- don't waste your time or calories here. After all..... It's NYC :)

If you looking for a good stop in little Italy this is it. The patio is fantastic to people watch. The food and service is great (and they have gluten free options).

My daughter and I loved this restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was very good. I had the Chicken Alfredo and my daughter had a pepperoni pizza; both meals were delicious and mine was the best Italian food that I've had in a very long time. We went to this restaurant on the 2nd to last day of... More

This was a little pricey for what we thought was a good meal nothing really spectacular but cost us $100. We have had better for less in little Italy. The waiter should not have tried to correct my wife's Italian that was just wrong and incorrect ! My wife has lived in Italy and I doubt the waiter had even... More

I toured Little Italy with my boyfriend about a year ago and we decided to eat at Da Gennaro restaurant. It. Was. The. Best. Italian. Food. We. Have. Ever. Had. And we are both Italian decent so we know a great red sauce when we taste it. The olive oil dip with bread...incredible. The clam appetizer...the best thing I've ever... More

I have been here two times. The first time I forgot a bag, called them when I got home and explained. They found the bag and put me at ease. The food is very good for what is generally more of a tourist destination. The prices are reasonable relative to places like Il Molino and Campanola. When I am in... More

Good Italian food, nice portions, service is also good but they are not on a hurry. If you are maybe another place is better suited. We enjoyed eating outside and watching the tourists (like us) watching is eat. Summer Sundays are particularly busy and interesting.

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
