High standard gastronomy with huge portions

Good service. Lovely dipping oil for the bread! I had veal in a Marsala sauce stuffed with spinach, Parma Ham and mozzarella. It was to die for. The sauce was rich and perfectly complemented what seemed to be a whole leg shank of veal. The veg were cooked well not too soft, still a crunch on the... read more

Located on Mulberry, the food was amazing. We knew we were at the right place when the stuffed mushrooms were in a gravy that was just slightly sweet, however, very tasty. The rest of our dinner was just some of the best Italian food that I have ever had.. Every dish was cooked well and very, very, tasty. They specialize... More

Even in a crude cold winter, this italian restaurant gives a warm welcome to the visitors, and offering an excellent italian food, of course also a good wine, environment, music, attention, overall a very good experience.

The food was amazing. Everything about the food was perfect. This was backed up by flawless service. Our water was continually topped up and the staff seemed genuinely interested in U.S. enjoying the meal.

This was the best italian meal that I have ever had in my life(and I'm Italian). The ziti siciliano was amazing. I could eat it every day in my life. My husband had chicken franchese which was out of this world. Service was efficient and wonderful. We can't wait to go back!

Came to little Italy during a snow storm- got a warm welcome at Da Gennaro's. Portion sizes are BIG! Glad we shared an appetiser of calamari as we couldn't finish it between two. We then had a pasta and pizza - both nice, pasta was with aubergine which was cooked perfectly. The garlic oil you get to dip your breads... More

Heart of little Italy. I had lasagna for dinner and it was very good. Bread was good too. Restaurant decor was nice and services too. Good restaurant to eat.

We really enjoyed the gnocchi and cheese ravioli. The value for lunch wasn't great considering the many other restaurants on the same street with specials. We paid extra for salad and $9/glass for house wines. We were early for lunch and the service was prompt and adequate. The bread and dipping oil/sauce was delicious!

Highly recommended-excellent food-fun atmosphere-I would recommend Otto anyone. The veal was incredible and the pasta was homemade.

Nice and cozy Italian restaurant in little Italy, New York with fresh pasta feeling like homemade and with Italian speaking staff. 80$ for 2.

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
