Nice contemporary lunch spot in the heart of SoHo

This is an attractive and trendy place on the corner of Prince and Lafayette, all white and light gray decor, great for people watching even when you are sitting inside as one side of the long dining room was completely open with no walls. I went here for lunch with my teenage daughter. We had a wonderful meal. The food is outstanding. We sat at an outdoor table and people watched while we ate. We were lucky to see Bradley Cooper walking down the street. I ordered a turkey sandwich. This was not your ordinary turkey sandwich. The turkey was delicious and served warm... More

Stopped by for lunch, were told it would be half hour wait so we said we would come back. Went back after 25 mins and and to wait another half hour for the table, then also waited almost an hour for our food. Burger and mac n cheese both great, but the annoyingly slow service ruined it for me. Would... More

The menu includes innovative cuisine as well as comfortable favorites in a modern setting. The food was tasty and the service was friendly and attentive, even on a busy Saturday night, A little spendy but not crazy. One of the better meals we had in our weeklong visit.

The title says it all. I just hated everything about it. The food was basically fancy junk food--I think they call it "comfort food". The music was so pervasive and blaring that I couldn't speak to my wife comfortably.

This is my second time eating here and they do not disappoint. The service is excellent. My drink was always full. I had the two eggs. The jelly that came with the toast was homemade. I dunno what kinda jelly it was but it didn't matter. It was good. And the bacon was crispy all the way through. Excellent.

We loved the look of this restaurnat with the glass front and wood walls and it was lively and buzzy. We had a big table for three of us and the service was very good. The food is comfort eating and everything looked great. I did make the mistake of having the daily special and it really could have been... More

My colleagues and I (12 people) headed over for dinner on a weeknight (6pm) and called ahead with no problem! The waiter was attentive and so were all of the attendants. I had the four cheese Mac and cheese and the Korean wings. AMAZING. And filling. My friends next to me had the burger and the other had salmon on... More

Delicatessen feels a lot like its sister restaurant over in Chelsea, but a little less crazy and loud. You really can't go wrong with a place that has a whole mac 'n' cheese section on the menu... My lunch partner had the cheeseburger mac and loved it. I went straight for dessert and the Italian donuts were amazing. My only... More

Staying in Nolita

Neighborhood Profile
Nolita
Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for “North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighborhood is popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry, Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping, there are cozy restaurants and sidewalk cafes serving everything from new-school Italian food to the world-famous cronuts. While small in size (Nolita stretches just a few blocks in each direction), it’s a great neighborhood to spend an afternoon people watching, window-shopping, and grabbing a bite to eat.
