Soooo freaken GOOD

This is my second time eating here and they do not disappoint. The service is excellent. My drink was always full. I had the two eggs. The jelly that came with the toast was homemade. I dunno what kinda jelly it was but it didn't matter. It was good. And the bacon was crispy all the way... read more

The title says it all. I just hated everything about it. The food was basically fancy junk food--I think they call it "comfort food". The music was so pervasive and blaring that I couldn't speak to my wife comfortably.

We loved the look of this restaurnat with the glass front and wood walls and it was lively and buzzy. We had a big table for three of us and the service was very good. The food is comfort eating and everything looked great. I did make the mistake of having the daily special and it really could have been... More

My colleagues and I (12 people) headed over for dinner on a weeknight (6pm) and called ahead with no problem! The waiter was attentive and so were all of the attendants. I had the four cheese Mac and cheese and the Korean wings. AMAZING. And filling. My friends next to me had the burger and the other had salmon on... More

Delicatessen feels a lot like its sister restaurant over in Chelsea, but a little less crazy and loud. You really can't go wrong with a place that has a whole mac 'n' cheese section on the menu... My lunch partner had the cheeseburger mac and loved it. I went straight for dessert and the Italian donuts were amazing. My only... More

I went here on visit to New York for my birthday lunch. The food is amazing! I had the lobster mac and cheese.. to die for; myself and my mum shared the truffle oil parmesan fries- a must have. Lovely friendly service, a delight to spend my birthday lunch there; I recommend highly!!

We went for breakfast, got good coffee and sandwich. But the apple pie was 1st world class!! Looked like a brick from the wall but tasted soooo good. Fantastic piece of delicious food and good service.

I coerced my man to go in as it looked inviting with modern decor and being close to the Soho end of Broadway, it was cool. It didn't disappoint. The lobster mac n cheese was worth every calorie! YUM! We had a nice dinner and glasses of wine and prices were reasonable as well as the ambience was just right.... More

Four of us went yesterday and the best burger i have ever had.....and ive had plenty in Australia and USA. I asked for med/rare and thats how it came. Truffle chips are a must and the scent it leaves in the restaurant is an added bonus. Service good. Clean and classy. Will return on next trip.

On our trip to NYC we stayed in Little Italy at Mulberry & Hester so Delicatessen was very close and often 'en route' for our (shopping!) trips to Soho. We ended up going there 3 times in our 9 nights in Lower Manhattan - 2 breakfasts and one dinner and we loved it each time. On our first visit we... More

Staying in Nolita

Neighborhood Profile
Nolita
Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for “North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighborhood is popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry, Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping, there are cozy restaurants and sidewalk cafes serving everything from new-school Italian food to the world-famous cronuts. While small in size (Nolita stretches just a few blocks in each direction), it’s a great neighborhood to spend an afternoon people watching, window-shopping, and grabbing a bite to eat.
