I had my doubts about this place when i first visited here but it turned to be quite good in terms of food quality, taste and price. The service was so so (wasn't expecting much anyway). Cheap and good midtown lunch options which have fixed addresses are tough to come by but Indus certainly fits the bill. Under $10 for a two curry box lunch with fresh homemade chapati or naan is tough to beat. Also cheap beer if you're looking for a budget curry dinner....

We had the lunch special for ten dollars and were so chuffed we went back the next day for more. You get a plastic tray with rice and a choice of main (chicken / lamb / paneer vindaloo , chicken tikka masala, chick pea dhal, etc, etc) plus two sides sich as spinach, lentils or even another curry, and nan... You get what you pay for. It was far better then average. The price was right and it was fast. It left happy.

Didn't have the buffet but ordered from the menu. Good food, good portions and great value. If you are looking for a quick bite of Indian food near Times square, this restaurant can't be beat.
