The history and the neat place this was is second to none. In Grand Central Station but outside and back in...looked like a speakeasy whisked you stratight back to the 20s-40s era...It was fantastic but BOY a round of drinks one round that included a beer was $100 with tip. Its an experience no matter what but be prepare to... More

I have lived in NYC 40+ years. Hidden jem. Never heard of it until we stopped in for a late night napcap. Its like walking into the 1940s hiden speakeasy. Great beer selection. Friendly bar tenders and nice lookinghostesses. well done!

Campbell's Apartment is a quaint, historic bar/restaurant that you wouldn't know existed unless someone in the know brought you there, or you were determined to find it: located on the mezzanine of Grand Central Station. One way in is by walking through Michael Jordan's restaurant. Definitely a worthwhile stop for a cocktail or glass of wine. You'll feel you've been... More

Stopped in here and it was exactly as we expected. Quaint, cocktails were great, authentic and we will be going back. Like stepping back in time.

This used to be one of my favorite spots to visit. They really need to step it up. The price doesn't match the quality anymore. For really amazing drinks go to death and co or Nomad. Same prices 100% better atmosphere and quality of food and cocktails.

Don't miss visiting this old fashioned speakeasy located in Grand Central Station. You will find elegantly shabby decor that will take you back in time. It is extremely crowded, so go early in the cocktail hour in order to maybe get a seat and not have to wait to be served. Such an interesting place!

We heard about this cocktail bar whilst listing to the audio tour (well worth renting it by the way!) of Grand Central Station and so made it our first task upon ending the tour to find it. Well worth a visit; the cocktails (Flapper’s Delight and Rum Baron) were lovely and we just loved the atmosphere and ‘feel’ of the... More

Arre they the best cocktails , maybe not ,but good. It is the atmosphere that you are there for.Hard to believe you are in Grand Central Station as opposed to some slightly medieval former castle. More Downton Abbey then 42nd Street!

Glorious gem hidden in Grand Central. But at least it wasn't a secret anymore ;) We popped in with a few friends for drinks. It wasn't very crowded then. The cocktails were very well crafted and I love their dark, homely atmosphere the most. Drinks are quite pricey but well worth it.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
