Tucked away in Grand Central Station

Very good cocktails from a short menu, nibbles type food (although the charcuterie plate was huge - way too much for one person). Good service, music at a good level. Only real criticisms were that it was quite chilly and a bit dark. It's also expensive, but I expected that.

We only had drinks at CA, but what a beautiful spot! Restored to original elegance and full of cool people. Made us feel like we had entered a very special place. Great seating areas as well as a nice bar. Very efficient staff.

This architecture and history of this place is amazing, but they need to give the bar area a solid cleaning. We sat by the bar and ordered Manhattans which were fine, however there was a horrible garbage smell coming from behind the bar. We downed our drinks a left. Ruined our visit.

Very cool bar hidden in Grand Central Station - not sure you would find it unless told about it. They play great music & the drinks are always good. The downside is it is pretty noisy & the service can be hit and miss. That being said it is pretty unique & well worth a visit.

Went for drinks with a relative. Was looking for a place that would have nice atmosphere and be quiet enough that we could chat and catch up. Big mistake. The atmosphere is very old world feel which I liked and there was a trio playing which was nice but for some reason in this small room it was so noisy... More

I will admit it was a bit expensive, but I would absolutely come back. The staff is dressed formal and beautiful, and all with a pleasant smile. It feels great to be sitting in a part of history - an old speakeasy, dinking Prohibition Punch, my favorite was the Kentucky Ginger (don't let the bourbon scare you... it is quite... More

Stopped in for a nightcap on a late Friday night. Loved the unique location in Grand Central and the dark mysterious style of this old office; imagine the deals that went down in here... If these walls could talk. Service was quick and drinks were good. We will be back!

We went on a Sunday night so it was quiet enough for us to sit back on the couches, sip some cocktails and enjoy the history of the room. Was one of my favourite places in NY.

Stopped in after touring Grand Cetral Station. Only had time for a cocktail. The ambiance is the reason to go. Intamate setting with a feel like it's 1935. Dark and Small dining area and small bar area.

Cool vibe Speakeasy, except were not in Prohibition. Could have fooled me! Step thru a time warp and have a $10 beer, $18 roast beef sliders (actually a good snack for 2 persons). If you want to recreate a Hearst Castle scene, come and speak the code word ' drinks for two' .

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
