Love the atmosphere and speakeasy vibe of this bar. Google the history of it while you are sitting there so you can take in all the amazing details~the ceiling, the carved wood, the safe in the fireplace…unique drinks and great ambience. My only complaint is that i feel like the upholstered chairs and rug need a good cleaning or replacing.... More

Open from 3pm to 1 am (though people were arriving later than that) this small bar is located off a stair way in central station (terminus). it is designed like an English country house ball room. the waitresses all wear black evening dresses and the atmosphere is new York speak easy from the 30s. it is a great place to... We went to the Apartment at get off work time and was it crowded. Standing room only but it was a blast watching all the up and coming Yuppies work their magic at the bar. Not a place to have a quiet drink, but who wants that?

We thought we'd pay a visit on a Saturday night. Lovely space, hard to believe it was an office. Ordered the prohibition cocktail from the bar and saw it being made and topped off with Champagne. Excellent cocktail. After this chose to be served by a gorgeous waitress with a lovely smile. Worth staying longer for. The live Jazz was... More

Very, very fun place to discover in this big, bad city! We enjoyed the experience of finding the door in Grand Central Station where we felt like we had uncovered a treasure. The decor inside is amazing, each inch a work of art. We enjoyed the Punch which was fun, with the cheese and meat platter. Go there and be... More

I liked this very much. No jeans or shorts!! It's worth it. The bar is quite lovely. very dark due to the collection or Italian chairs and silks inside the apartment. Lovely service and atmosphere. Cant book. we went about 3pm and got a good table but anything after 4pm it gets really busy!!

This bar is really a hidden gem. Tucked away in the side of Grand Central Station it is difficult to find and very discreet. Once inside you are taken back to a world of dark wood pannelling and stained glass. The ambience is great, the whisky selection suitable good considering the Scottish heritage and the waitresses pleasing on the eye.... More

My husband and I spotted Campbell Apartment on some review sights and decided to check it out when we were in NYC. It was a great spot for a pre-dinner cocktail. The decor and atmosphere is very old fashioned and the fact that it's kind of hidden in Grand Central Station makes it feel like a bit of a speakeasy.... More

Do get dressed up with your friend, walk to Grand Central and up the stairs to The Campbell Apartment! Fantastic atmosphere (look/ feel). They advertise "bygone era." Female servers all in drop-waist black dresses w pearls - if they'd had gloves and a fascinator I would have been in heaven. Food served late, with great snacks and drinks. Nice selection... More
