Hubby and I do a foodie tour every summer, and plan out a route of restaurants to visit within a full day. By far, the Redhead was the best eatery! The drinks were awesome (love the Redfizz), the pretzels and sauce were amazing, the fried chicken may have been the best we ever had, and the homemade chips were to... More

Small and special this restaurant is a wonderful surprise. I LOVED every dish we had, even the veggies were excellent. Kale (which is not my favorite) turned to be delicious. Girts deserving of any Southern grandma's praise. Nothing snot-nosed fancy here just really good cooking of real food. Fantastic service. Run and get there early.

After reading reviews about this restaurant back in the UK, we decided to visit The Redhead after a days sightseeing. We didn't have a reservation but after a quick pre-dinner drink, we were seated. Service was attentive and the food was served promptly. We ordered the bacon peanut brittle to share and it was very tasty. Both my friend and... More

After an absolutely terrible cocktail at another bar on E14th Street, we tried The Redhead, a cosy neighbourhood bar and restaurant on E13th. While the plates of food that came out looked pretty good, we tried it for cocktails and the amazing little snack the bar is famous for - bacon peanut brittle. A small bowl of those is the... More

We saw this restaurant on tv from "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" with Guy Fieri. Easy to get to using the L train to 1st Avenue station and walk south. We arrived before opening at 5:30 pm and sat at the bar for happy hour. Seated at a table for dinner service on time. The menu is relatively small, but they... More

There is a reason the locals frequent this spot. The place is nice, the service was great and the pretzels and dip were completely yummy! I only wish I had actually eaten dinner here, but I think I will try the chicken this May when I visit again. It came highly recommended by a lovely lady that spoke with me... More

Being from out of town, we tried this place on the recommendation of a friend who is a lifelong New Yorker. He did not steer us wrong. While my taste tends to run toward less fancy fare, everything was great. I'd go back.

Very surprised by the quick seating without reservations but it was a cold Sunday in early January. I took our server's recommendation and had the pork for the entree and there was nothing I could imagine that could make it better. Scrumptious. Completely devoured the waffle chips. The lemon tartelettes were a great dessert. And of course my wife went... More

Started off with pretzels and beer cheese( ok but pretzels overdone) then ordered the shrimp and grits(very good) and the brussel sprouts were good. Got a bag of the bacon peanut brittle to go and its very good with a kick.

From the moment our friendly waitress greeted us we loved this place. It has a vibe that is perfect for a romantic night out if your idea of romance includes fried chicken. I can easily say that the fried chicken, fried green tomatoes and Brussels sprouts are the best I have ever had. The Redhead is a standout restaurant in... More
