Bistro Milano, New York City

This Italian restaurant has an attractive bright space, and in good weather one can also dine in a large area in the setback off the sidewalk. For an appetizer we enjoyed very good prosciutto with ripe melon. Pastas are featured and very good, but they also have other dishes and the fish was fresh... read more

In town on business, staying at the Hilton and after reading reviews and checking it out, it seemed perfect ... smaller, quiet, nice menu ... Seated promptly, and then the wait began ... ok, singles are more challenging for wait staff .. but 15 minutes to get water? Waiter started off well, agreeing to bring a tiny sample of one... More

I had a home made bowl of minestrone that was excellent, with real Italian bread. The Modena balsamic vinegar for dipping the bread, was the thick sweet good type. I ate at the bar where the fabulous Fabiana shared the "secret " wine list. She shared some tastings of a few different wines. Bistro Milano is a great place to... More

We were referred by the concierge staff at the Peninsula and could not have been more pleased. The atmosphere was perfect, the extensive authentic menu, the wonderful waitstaff and hostess and the Cheers of goal from the bar, we felt like we were at the foot of the Spanish steps. Not to be disappointed we were in the heart of... More

We had a very relaxing dinner in a friendly, unhurried, efficient service by Ben. He described the entrees tastefully. The entrees were delicious (I had the Salmon, which melted in my mouth) and the presentation was wonderful. In this busy world it was nice to relax and have superb attention. This restaurant knows how to keep customers coming back!

We were the first two people in the restaurant for dinner. We were shown to a table in the rear. I objected and asked to sit near the window. We were shown to the front and when I went to sit down I was told the table was being saved. Just when we left did the "preferred" guests arrive. Food... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant to us. We walked down from our hotel and entered the entrance to the restaurant covered in snow. The Maitre'D opened the door and said "do you have a reservation?" We said no, she said "don't worry we have room for you". She showed us to our table and we had the most wonderful waitperson... Our Hotel, The Warwick, recommended this restaurant and we were very happy with their choice. Our party of nine was greeted and they had our table ready for us. The service our waiter Mirco gave us was very helpful, he answered all our questions and helped us with our choices. Food was exceptional, all said it was perfection. We were... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
