Italian with a flair

New York Hilton made the recommendation and they were right on target. Everything was delicious. My wife had chicken and I had the veal. Both pieces of meat were pounded thin enough to really enjoy the flavor. The only down side was that the tables were very close together. We heard everything... read more

We visited this restaurant on a recent trip to NYC. We found the food to be authentic but that's not always good. Like the food we have had in Italy the flavors in the food were "subtle" (some would say bland). If you like traditional Italian food you will like this place and the price, while a bit high, is... Great location, indoor outdoor dining on west 55th. Very attentive service, great selection of delectable italian cuisine as good for Brunch, Lunch and Dinner, I have tried all options and was never disappointed. Every dish was very well presented, hot, fresh and delicious, my favourite brunch dish being "eggs royale" with smoked salmon. Will return anytime, just a great place... More

Visited Bistro Milano on a recent Saturday evening. The weather was very spotty and we had requested to sit outside. After changing our minds twice, Gloria sat us outside and the weather cooperated for the evening. The food was excellent and the service was even better. Sebastian took the time to explain the menu and his preferences. He also recommended... More

We liked this restaurant and its servers so well, we went back twice in a 4-day trip. The food is excellent and they are more than willing to accommodate any special requests. Sebastian is super knowledgeable about wines and was able to help guide us to some wonderful wines at reasonable prices. Highly, highly, highly recommended!

The downside of this review is that it has been three weeks since I ate at this restaurant so I cannot remember exactly the meal I ordered. However, for sure it was fish (probably salmon) and for sure it was delicious including dessert. The service was great and unhurried like Europe, the prices reasonable, and the view from the sidewalk... More

Service intolerably slow. My sons steak was underdone. My osso bucco was ok. Generally overpriced for the quality of the food.

I had to wait for my party a bit and watching folks come in made me smile: the owners and the wait staff seemed to know so many personally, hugs all round. Our server honored the free martini offer from the online booking service, my minestrone was light and fresh, and you really must try the tortino di zucca e... More

We love it here! This is our go to place during quick trips to the city. Always excellent service and the veal ravioli with truffle sauce is to die for!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
