Phenomenal food quality across the board for fair price in NY city. Their wonton soup is off the hook with freshly made wontons. The Peruvian dishes (Ceviche, Tallarin (pasta) con Camrones (shrimp) & Lomo Saltado) are all excellent. At the top of my list for visitors to NY looking for excellent food at great prices.

Went for the first time to this restaurant last Saturday (March 8) and even though it was packed they accommodate us in less than 40minutes. The food was AWESOME!!! Great shrimp ceviche, green rice, tasty fish and a Spectacular sangria. The menu is full of choices that you will be confuse to order or decide what to eat which is... More

Well priced and consistently high quality on the Chinese and Peruvian dishes. We tend to prefer the Peruvian and recommend the ceviche, the tallarin saltado and lomo saltado. Location on the west side is also very convenient.

A friend recommended Flor De Mayo, which is an interesting restaurant serving both Chinese and Peruvian food. Having never tried Peruvian cuisine, I ordered the barbecued chicken with green rice. The rice was colored green with fresh cilantro, and the barbecued chicken was excellent with fresh herbs and vegetables. Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was nothing special, but reflected... More

Usually eat at the other location. Tried this with a friend and 2 children. The kids loved the chichi papa (French fries and hot dogs- is that how you spell it?). My friend had some type of seafood soup and loved it. The fried rice was disgusting. It was sticky and wet. Also, I felt it was kind of pricey... More

In an area that has become so gentrified that you can no longer get into a restaurant on Saturday or Sunday mornings for breakfast/brunch and where the average dinner bill has skyrocketed, this pleasant little place delivers on good food and huge portions at very reasonable prices. They offer Chinese/Spanish cuisine with an additional emphasis on Peruvian dishes. Several choices... More

We ended up at Flor de Mayo because the place across the street had a long line (Sunday brunch). Boy, we were all so happy that it turned out that way. I had a traditional Peruvian dish- Ocopa. I had never tried before and was very pleasantly surprised. It was a potato dish with a green sauce on top, slightly... More

lomo saltado, seafood squid-ink rice, sweet fried plantains… this place is just as cheap as peruvian food in LA, but not as good. i was disappointed with the quality of the beef. i haven’t had anything like this in nyc, but i think they are skimping on quality because new yorkers may not know better. eating mediocre food in nyc... This is truly an amazing place to eat. Everything tastes great. I truly recommend Flor de Mayo. I love their fish filet of sole. Also their chicken is amazing. One thing to keep in mind is that it tends to be packed on weekends, so be prepared to wait, but it will be all worth it.
