Always reliable.

This is one of our favorite Midtown breakfast cafes. Good food, good service, and right on 42nd and 9th. Winter or summer it is always reliable.

The prices were reasonable for New York City. The Chicken Tenders were good. I would say higher quality then McDonalds Burger King etc. The fries need salt some kind of sauce. Our waitress was fine. She originally was quick, but then my friend wanted hot tea, and she seemed to forget this. Perhaps I will go again and try something... More

Had breakfast here. Bulky but quite ordinary. The juice and coffee cups were almost the size of chemical vials. This shop faces onto 42nd street so you might just come here to watch the street traffic and chew a bagel with some coffee. But there is a pretty extensive menu of salads, soups, sandwiches, platters, and daily specials. Gets busy... More

Just a few blocks from Time's Square, but quiet and at home comfortable diner. I have never tried awesome super crispy fried chicken served at this diner before and loved very much. Priced reasonably and service sufficient.

I love going to diners and had read about Theatre Row Diner. The diner was really busy when we arrived and had a great vibe. The staff were pleasant and the service quick. However, the coffee was a little weak and bitter. Ordered the cheese and broccoli omelet which was not seasoned. Sadly disappointed but there were plenty of other... More

Enjoyed breakfast here the other morning, French toast really hit the mark but the atmosphere was lacking somewhat despite it being Memorial Weekend and everywhere else busy. Great central location but staff were a touch stern in their approach, I know we are visitors but we know the gratuity rules here and don't need it pushed in our faces!!

Really friendly staff. We had dinner here on our first night staying at the Yotel as this diner is one block away. Really enjoyed it, reasonably priced and nice food. Also ate lunch here another day. Again no complaints. Would recommend.

Service was quick on a Monday night, food were well prepared and tasted great at Diner price. We were impressed with the standard of the food we had for the price they charged.

We ate here several times during our visit to NY. The Food is really tasty, good quality and reasonably priced. The staff are really helpful and friendly. Anything with the home fries and you are on to a winner!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
