Delightful French chocolatier!

Enjoyed a wonderful chocolate lunch here on Valentine's Day with friends. A more quintessential French chocolatier I can't imagine this side of Paris. Busy as it was (it was packed, being Valentine's Day), we had great service, delightful food (including a few savoury items - I had a very nice... read more

Busy as it was (it was packed, being Valentine's Day), we had great service, delightful food (including a few savoury items - I had a very nice tomato soup), and thoroughly enjoyed the exquisite "Parisienne" decor. Lovely quaint chocolate shop with a cute tea room to the back. The hot chocolate is the best I've ever had, velvet smooth like liquid chocolate. We also had lunch, a sandwich and a soup which where nice. Friendly service. The interior, although cute, would benefit from some TLC.

Mariebelle sells absolutely beautifully designed chocolates. They come in high end blue boxes and make great gift items. At the back of the store there is a seating area where they serve coffee and tea along with various chocolates and desserts. Could not tell you which flavor is my favorite as they are all good. You tend to choose the... More

My favorite hideaway to sip hot white chocolate and lovely deserts. And such a surprise off the SOHO madness away in the back cocoa room. Perfect with afriend or with a lover, or just a break with my daughter after scouring china town and soho. But don't bring little kids.

Stumbled upon this lovely place yesterday and had to go inside. The moment you walk in you are greeted by the friendly chocolate shop ladies, who gave a free sample of the iced chocolate (dark/"Aztec"). It tasted so good, we had to go in the back café area for a full-sized version. As someone who thinks that Serendipity's frozen hot... More

Oh my goodness this place was awesome! It's so beautiful I just had to go inside to see what was going on. Inside beautiful sparkling lights, crazy delicious smells, and then there's the cool guy offering tastes of everything. We didn't eat a meal there but we did try the sorbet, chocolate, and the icy chocolate drinks. We left with... More

I stepped into this shop and felt like I entered another world. I was offered a taste of iced cardamom chocolate. I had to buy some. I wish we would have had time to enjoy the back "Cacao Room". A chocolate lover's paradise. Go and spend an afternoon there. Exquisite.

The 1st thing you would notice when you enter is the elegant décor of this place. The mirrors, the paintings and the readings on the wall gives it a very cosy French Cafe look. Hundreds of variety chocolates, most of them had such unique combination of spices you could never imagine. I tried a couple.. they were delicious. We then... More

Antique furnishings, glass shelves and ornate mirrors express the mood and humor of the entire establishment. These are words from their website. We arrived in Soho one Saturday morning in late February on a blustery day. Shops were not open until noon so we looked for a place to go for coffee. We found this lovely place, like a little... Charming chocolate shop with a lovely tea/cocoa room in the back evoking the Hollywood ideal of a quaint chocolate cafe. The hot cocoa was the richest and thickest I have ever consumed, truly liquid gold. If you are looking for an oasis from the hustle and bustle of this part of Manhattan, this is your salvation. It is not cheap,... More
