Great spot for jazz. Tight tables and a close stage make an intimate setting and the if the stars align you can be rewarded with a terrific show. They market themselves as a supper club, so your dinner comes with jazz. I've had most of what's on offer, and it's not bad, but sometimes I prefer to forgo the food... More

Ok so the tables were close together and the drinks quite expensive but we had a really great evening. We got there for the second sitting and stayed to see the hip hop jazz fusion band for a truly memorable evening. Go late and stay later. Brilliant

Booked this from reviews online and were very pleased! Excellent jazz music. Booked for dinner at 8.30 for the 9pm show. Small venue, and sat very close to other diners but that wasn't a problem. Good food - lamb shank was really tasty. The music is great and very loud, however while they're playing you can't really have a conversation... More

Where else can you see Eric Alexander play live and have a beer with him later? Great gem of a Jazz bar, great food, great cocktails and wonderful service. Stay for the late show, relax and and make some new friends. SMOKE now has its own record label featuring some of the musicians that play there. Not a bad seat... More

We reserved our table and tickets before our stay in New York. We were greeted politely and our server that evening was friendly and efficient! The jazz that evening was fantastic, it is a great intimate place to enjoy the music and had a lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious with a good selection on the menu! We thoroughly enjoyed... Booking is essential because this place is small. The tables are squeezed close together which adds to the atmosphere. But be warned - if you don't like watching your neighbours eat, this place may not be for you. The music was terrific and benefitted from the small room. There is a no talking, no mobiles, no flash photography policy and... More

Confession - I used to live a couple blocks from here. Menu is surprisingly good for a 'Jazz Club' - a lot of fresh and local. Love even the small stuff (the veg chili is awesome). The cocktails are awesome, the staff is great! The main acts are 2nd to none - Gregory Porter held a weekly spot here until... More

Lots of people hadc recomended this place for a jazz night out. The music was great since the quartet was a very good one. The table very unconfortable with other people seated almost on my legs! good food but quite expensive. On top the music cover charge! Done it I won't come back
