A Delightful Night at Smoke!

My husband and I visited this jazz club with my brother and his wife. There was a 10 piece band, including the female singer. The stage is small but somehow they all had a spot! Great jazz music!

Smoke is one of the best places in the city to listen to terrific jazz. It's almost as if you're in your living room. Authentic. Cosy. Intimate. Comfortable. friendly. Food is pretty good. Priced for the Tourist trade..

My wife and I went to Smoke Jazz Club in search of bebop, which we found with the Steve Davis Sextet. The music was great! The atmosphere was friendly and intimate, with good service, and the acoustics and sight lines were very good. The southern style food was actually a surprise; a nice surprise and better than I anticipated. I... More

Live jazz performance for free, very tasting brunch (smoked salmon / scrambled eggs + grilled chicken chopped salad with Mimosa's cocktail for us), not expensive, nice atmosphere.

We've been many times to Smoke Jazz; it's one of our favorite jazz clubs in NY: small, cozy, excellent to see new talents and great house musicians. It's no cheap, though - and the food always taste the same, which is greasy taste in general. The drinks are ok. Go for the music, not for dinner.

This little place is lovely; it's a jazz club that has wonderful jazz, is attractive, and has really good food. When I first started coming here eleven years ago, it seemed a bargain. No more. It's more upscale now, and seems quite pricey to me now, as you've got to have dinner with the 7 and 9 pm shows, and... More

I went to watch a Miles Davis tribute band, booked up from England. We got there, ordered our food, ate our food, we saw one set from the band then we were escorted out where there was another line of people waiting to get in. Perhaps this is how its done, however I could have certainly handled more from the... More

The "smoke" experience we had tonight revived my belief in the concept of jazz club. An intimate place where you can practically feel the performers and communicate with them. Music was excellent, the food was good, (in any rate beyond the usual expectations from jazz dinner), The service was very good and the value for money was very good too.... More

This place was fantastic. We went on a Thursday night and took advantage of the prix-fixe menu. It is a very intimate place, and we had a table right up front next to the stage. From anywhere in the place, you can see and hear everything, and it has a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. The food was good, but not spectacular.... More

We booked a set menu table for our last night in New York and the Supper Club didn't disappoint. The show was scheduled to start at 7pm and on the advice of the person taking the booking we arrived in the area around 6pm. The Upper West side was as pretty as a picture with flowering trees and wonderful apartment... More
