This place is just right for listening to jazz in a small intimate atmosphere. The food is really good and the service can't be faulted. It's about £80-100 per person (ticket and dining) but well worth the trip.

It's a small place and that helps with the atmosphere. Hard to believe they got so many band members on stage. The food was good, the staff work hard to serving and clearing in the tight space. Tables are arranged in rows so you can sit opposite your dinner date but your neighbours are pretty close, it makes it feel... More

Even if the restaurant is small and tables are really close, you feel comfortable. The brunch on Sunday is good and the music is great! No extra charge for music is a plus. We recommend it.

Visited Smoke Jazz Club during a recent visit to New York City having made a reservation on the internet based on reviewers ratings on Trip Advisor. Really pleased we went. The restaurant is small (about 50 covers) but this creates a terrific atmosphere. There is a great bar on the left and a raised stage at back from were we... More

Booked here online before we left for New York. I had never ever been to a jazz club before, and was really knocked out. The food was okay, but nothing special. We were the first people to arrive on the evening of our booking, and had almost finished our meal by the time everyone else showed up. We were expecting... More

I was brought here by a friend who wanted me to experience my first jazz club. The venue is very small, and while the music was good, it was so loud that it was actually impossible to have any conversations during the band's set. We had to order our food by pointing at the menu. When the food came it... More

First time here and we found the smallness of the venue to be very welcoming, especially for a NYC jazz club. Only room for about 50 people, close to the musicians no matter where you sit. Nice variety of food choices and a reasonably good wine list. Looking forward to the next time.

We came to smoke after hearing about a thelonious monk celebration that was going on. The venue itself is very Intimate and the staff was very friendly. The ticket prices for the show were not cheap but I guess that's what's expected when you're getting a good show. The food was pleasantly delicious and the drinks were good and not... More

This place is an intimate music experience. Great atmosphere and jazz dinner concept. Too bad the kitchen is not close to living up to the inviting menu and steep price. It really brings down a great music experience. We ate a variety of dishes, starters and entres between the four of us and they were at the best mediocre but... More
