Enjoyed a great night of Jazz here during a recent visit to New York. Food is good, cocktails were very nice as well. Only complaint is that the acts are in "slots" meaning we had a table from 8pm to just after 10pm but then they kick you out for the next diners to have a seat - just as... More

Went for Sunday jazz brunch. Small intimate space with a couple of rows of tables. Tight fit but comfortable and good view of performers and nice variety on the menu from egg dishes, to salads and sandwiches. Took awhile to get drinks and water refills but food came out fast. Jazz was good and prices very reasonable. Staff were friendly... More

This place is just right for listening to jazz in a small intimate atmosphere. The food is really good and the service can't be faulted. It's about £80-100 per person (ticket and dining) but well worth the trip.

It's a small place and that helps with the atmosphere. Hard to believe they got so many band members on stage. The food was good, the staff work hard to serving and clearing in the tight space. Tables are arranged in rows so you can sit opposite your dinner date but your neighbours are pretty close, it makes it feel... More

Even if the restaurant is small and tables are really close, you feel comfortable. The brunch on Sunday is good and the music is great! No extra charge for music is a plus. We recommend it.

Visited Smoke Jazz Club during a recent visit to New York City having made a reservation on the internet based on reviewers ratings on Trip Advisor. Really pleased we went. The restaurant is small (about 50 covers) but this creates a terrific atmosphere. There is a great bar on the left and a raised stage at back from were we... More

Booked here online before we left for New York. I had never ever been to a jazz club before, and was really knocked out. The food was okay, but nothing special. We were the first people to arrive on the evening of our booking, and had almost finished our meal by the time everyone else showed up. We were expecting... More

I was brought here by a friend who wanted me to experience my first jazz club. The venue is very small, and while the music was good, it was so loud that it was actually impossible to have any conversations during the band's set. We had to order our food by pointing at the menu. When the food came it... More

First time here and we found the smallness of the venue to be very welcoming, especially for a NYC jazz club. Only room for about 50 people, close to the musicians no matter where you sit. Nice variety of food choices and a reasonably good wine list. Looking forward to the next time.
