Legendary place in NY

As soon as you walk through the main door of this place you immediately realize of being in a piece of NYC history. The atmosphere is great and the staff very professional and nice. The burgers are delicious and the fries too. I definetly reccomend it to anybody visiting NY.

Located across the street from Lincoln Center...looked like a cute rustic bistro ...open window dining...we were seated quick..Staff very friendly.. we ordered burgers well done..when we bit into them I thought I heard a moo!! I hate pink meat so I ate around the pink part..I never send food back unless its rancid or completely wrong....the fries you had to... More

We had a nice lunch here. Cocktails were very good but $15 each. Food was above average or better. Nice outdoor seating. Very good service. Enjoyable and above average.

This place has been there forever (well, something like 100 years). So, many New Yorkers have memories of going there for burgers with their parents after the Nutcracker across the street at Lincoln Center. Or going with college friends for a late night burger. Add toppings, like the chili, get French fries or onion rings, a glass of red wine... More

I got a burger and sweet potato fries. The burger was handmade, but it lacked much flavor or seasoning. It was also rather small (roughly the same circumference as a McDonald's hamburger), especially for its $15 price. Fries were extra ($7 for one serving), and though tasty were again overpriced considering they were paired with the burger. By far the... More

Classic burgers, we return on every visit to NYC. Do I need to say more? Yes, coz Tripadvisor needs 100 words minimum. But visit this place if you wanna get the real thing.

Near to our hotel and wonderful service. My Mom is disabled and they more than took care of her. Wonderful tomato soup and the steaks were almost as good as back home in Texas.

This place was a disappointment. We went here based on the good TripAdvisor reviews but left the place unsatisfied. Service was too quick for our liking (got food 5 minutes after ordering) but the biggest disappointment was the food itself. I hate the soggy kind of burgers they do in this place and my husband's chicken was nothing too special... More
