The staff at this site is very friendly and kind to a professional woman traveling alone. I had to eat during mid afternoon so I could catch my flight. The staff was extremely accommodating to me, although the dining room was not yet open. Excellent food, atmosphere and staff!! I will definitely return next month!!

One steak tartare, side order of fries, a shared desert, 1 bottle of water and an espresso. Bland, small portion and 70 dollars inclusive tip. The only thing Alain ducasse about this place is the price,

This French restaurant is beginning to show its age but the food was good and the service was friendly. The wine list is a bit overpriced, but not outrageous.

We spent a wonderful christmas eve at Benoit. The staff was lovely and accommodating of our elderly guest and baby alike. Festive atmosphere, delicious food, and great service. Never know what you'll get on a holiday but we were very pleasantly surprised.

Best service we've encountered. Rich wine list, with numerous French leading names. We were three, unanimously concluding Benoit to be the best place we've been to. The Chateau Labegorce 2007 wss divine. Our appetizers and entrees impeccable. The place was less than 50% occupied, which i really failed to understand. Formidable.

We recently had a lovely meal at BENOIT. We enjoyed the half-roasted chicken with fabulous frites, a lovely fresh salmon, a crab salad, fresh white asparagus imported from Lyon (very expensive, but delicious) and enjoyed it very much. The service is very attentive and the staff is well-trained.and friendly. The room is very attractive and definitely has a Paris vibe.... More

We loved Benoit. One of the best restaurants in NYC. Very fine with excellent wait staff. Our waiter was a nice young man from Paris who had worked at another Allain Duchesse (SP?) restaurant there. Everything was outstanding, you will enjoy.

The room is only fair. The staff are attentive. The food a bit mixed. The hors d'oeuvres were a little disappointing, particularly the artichoke and ravioli, the pig's foot rather better. Head cheese and moules were excellent but the skate disappointing.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
