Foodie Fun With a Cool Vibe

Met old friends for dinner who live in the area. We are from out of town. We arrived early and we're delighted by the bar drink menu. I needed some clarification on the drinks as they are creative with liquors and mixers. The drinks were fabulous. I loved their margarita made with a little spice... read more

The food is great and tasty but the portions are way too small considering the price of the foods. The restaurant itself is very cosy.

This is a very popular spot, so expect to plan ahead (max 30 days in advance) and book in plenty of time. It is however worth it. Different fare to the usual NYC brunch, imaginative and well presented. I had the 'Uova in Purgatorio' with spicy pork sausage, tomato & stracciatella. Not cheap at $20.00 but worth it. The atmosphere... More

Third time at Locanda Verde: we had a great time once again. The Milk Sheep Ricotta is to die for. Great atmosphere: the decoration is simple, the service efficient without being overwhelming. I will definitely try the brunch the next time around.

Had a terrific meal here last night. Great food and ambience, great service. The ricotta crostini was especially great. I could eat that every night!

Came here for a lovely Sunday brunch on a sunny July day. Sitting outside was lovely to soak up NY atmosphere. Strange rule that they don't serve alcohol before noon meant a short wait but well worth it for a lovely fruity, refreshing cocktail. We then shared ricotta with burnt orange toast and pastries. All delicious and accompanied by delightful... More

All of the breakfast pastries are delicious. You can order a plate with several of them, but don't blame me if you end up overeating. The lemon ricotta pancakes were a big hit with our party. Service was great, and we returned several mornings, never tiring of the good coffee, teas, and pastries.

We were with a large group. Locanda Verde gave us a beautiful private room. They brought out lots of appetizers. I've never had steak tartare before, so I can't compare it to other restaurants, but I was shocked how much I liked it; it was delicious! The Papparadelle, duck and fish (I can't remember if we had bass or halibut)... More

After reading lots of reviews we decided we wanted to book here but they only open the book a week before and even then it is impossible! We managed to get a slot at 6pm and it was definitely worth it. The restaurant is in a trendy part of New York and it was great to explore a different neighbourhood.... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
