The Locanda Verde is a tastefully appointed premises. In keeping with the Greenwich Hotel. The menu is authentic and extensive and it really enjoyed my meal. My wife, however, did not. Her Uovo al Forno was undercooked. This would normally not have been a problem as we would, in a normal case, simply ask our server to please have it... More

We visited last week from UK. Great restaurant, good wine. Good to see locals meeting after work as well as visitors from afar. Great service at the bar and the table. Menu choice excellent for us. Enjoyed everything we had, three courses each and very full afterwards. Not the cheapest restaurant we visited last week but certainly value for money... More

The decor is just like the Greenwich Hotel, but lighter . There are lots of staff and they are all smiling and busy. So you get a lot of attention as they deliver the delicious food

I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at Locanda Verde. In NYC, it's not challenging to find delicious Italian food. However, this place was not just about the food. The service was amazing. Our server, Marcus, was phenomenal at his job. I felt like I was having a wine and food pairing. He brought out tastings of different wines from Italy... More

I really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant. Service was friendly from the first second we stepped into it. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was excellent, with an original menu and great variety of dishes. Wine list was very varied too and the wine we selected was awesome. The ambiance was elegant withough being snoby. All... Locanda Verde is not to be missed if you appreciate the artistry of combining a few simple ingredients into beautiful, fresh and flavorful dishes. LV has its own twist on lots of traditional Italian favorites that come in reasonable portions, small enough to allow for sampling of a few different delights. Each will be well balanced and satisfying with, likely,... More

Our first meal of our anniversary trip and it was perfect. The food, inventive and cooked perfectly, the service friendly and knowledgeable. One of the best meals we have ever had. A quick run down of the meal, two appetizers, lamb sliders and a special of rabbit rillettes covered in sweet pepper jelly and served with an olive salsa. Our... More

Came down from Midtown to have breakfast here prior to going to 9/11 Museum..Could not have been more happy..I had the frittata , which was light and fluffy, and very tasty.Wife had the hazelnut French toast, which was equally as good. the atomsphere was exactly what we were hoping to find, a throwback to NYC old days, not some shiny... We enjoyed our dinner, very good pasta. The hostess staff was snotty, but maybe that's what they're supposed to do- it was not a nice first impression of the restaurant. However, we pushed on and ended up having a good meal. The restaurant has a policy of taking your table's entire order all at once- clearly a ploy to turn... More

Is anyone else bored of being disappointed by an average evening at an average restaurant with a higher than average bill? I am, so what a pleasure to spend an evening here, where the total experience is great. Loved the restaurant, loved the dark intimate lighting, loved the helpful service and LOVED the clams in black ink linguine. The only... More
