Savory, mesmerizing

I had my first authentic dish of Ramen during this visit. So, so, good. I'd be coming here every day if I could afford it! Lovely atmosphere and great service.

This place isAMAZING. Service is even better. I went on a Friday night around 5pm but the hostess told me I had about 2 hour wait!! My friends never tried it and hearing that we had a long wait made them want to try it even more. So we waited and it was worth the wait! Next time we will... More

...plus this restaurant between St Mark's and Astor Place is such a cool venue. It's like a massive soup kitchen with an open-plan kitchen, noisy chefs, shouting waiters, and it's great fun to slurp a ramen at one of the communal table, even for lunch. Their lunch deals are delish, though - of course - a lot more pricey than... More

The Japanese ramen here is a must-have. This restaurant is an excellent place to experience on a date or just some fun with some friends. The atmosphere is exciting. The service is excellent. And the food is amazing. If you like beer they have special brews only available there that are excellent (like rogue). Between their pork steam buns and... More

I love Japanese noodles so I have been to many places in New York but this place is has one of the best Japanese noodles. However the line is insanely long during early dinner time. It can be as long as 2 hour wait so don't expect to show up on a Friday night expecting to get a seat right... More

This place really blew my socks off. I was there around 2pm and there was a 30 minute wait because people know this place is great. Once you walk to your table every single employee yells hello in another language. Then the lunch special was great. The small salad had an amazing dressing. Both the fish and cod rice bowl... More

Maybe it's just me, but I had trouble locating their door... perhaps it was due to the awesome storefront facade. Aside from the aesthetically pleasing front, their ramen, fresh & cooked perfectly, accompanied by the mouth watering soup one would happily obliged to unbuttoning pants for. The wait was around 45 minutes but they have a bar to help the... More

We have been pondering "ramen" as a dining adventure over multiple visits to NYC. This time we said "that's it, we're doing ramen". It's not just a meal, it's an adventure! And it was a great meal and a great adventure ... in fact our visit to Ippudo was almost our entire afternoon. Which is fine - we love this... More

We were recommended to come here by New York friends and it exceeded expectations. You do have to wait but you soon forget that when enjoying a ramen. We visited twice in a one week stay- the first time we were able to enjoy cocktails/beers and nibbles at the bar. The 2nd time sadly not- they were not even serving... More

We were 7 and started to queue before 6pm. Our waiting time of 30 minutes was worth. Side dishes are excellent, ramen are excellent, sake is excellent! Obviously it's a place to go in New York if somebody likes this kind of food.
