The best ramen you can have in NY! Completely enjoyed the food and the experience. Its a very lively place and very good staff. I dont quite remember the exact ramen I had, but I do remember tasting everybody else' ramen on the table with me :P and it all tasted good. For those who like spicy food, please ask... More

Had to wait about 45 minutes to get a table on a Thursday around 1pm. There are several retail shops around that you can visit if you don't want to stay at the restaurant to wait (in our case, it was way too crowded in the waiting area). As expected, the ramen was good but the regular size was not... More

So as I was in the neighbourhood trying to figure out where to lunch before flying back to San Francisco, I came across this little place. I totally love the way the servers all shout out in unison when you walk in to welcome to the place. The ramen was amazing. Will defo be back.

That's all in the title. We waited 2hrs (240 minutes, really) to have a table. The place is very crowded and most of the people is not really waiting in the restaurant, they have walked in early and they have left the name; then the restaurant call them back when the table is almost available. The problem is that they... More

Ippudo finally brings its taste of Japanese ramen to NY! The soup is high quality and won;t leave you feeling terrible after eating it like other ramen joints. The restaurant's atmosphere is also nice . Overall Ippudo takes the ramen experience to a new level.

Firstly, don't be put off by what looks to be an overcrowded takeaway when you look through the only bit of window you can see in, the front entrance area seemed to be rammed full of people the whole time we were there but we were taken straight past to a free table, never figured what they were there for!... I've been lucky enough to visit Japan, eaten at some great Ramen restaurants and also frequently visited Momofuku noodle bar and not to take anything away from these great places but Hakata Ippudo has hit the top of my list and maybe even my favourite restaurant in New York. The ambience and dinning experience feels like you have just stepped... More

The ramen served were above average. Noodles are executed nicely. However, the cha siew (pork slices) included were not melt in your mouth good that is expected from ramen shops. Moreover, it lacks the burst or explosion of flavours that one expects for one of the top 100 TripAdvisor restaurants.

Not the place for a romantic dinner or to hold conversations in, but the food is amazing, the service quick and very attentive, despite the crowds which I imagine populate the place on a daily basis. The was a line of people waiting to seat when I arrived but, since I was on my own, it took them a short... More
