We heard so much about Ramen at Ippudo, and they have one at East Village. We went on the weekday at 11 a.m., the time it opens, and avoided the waiting time in the evening which will usually be an hour's wait. Ramen turns out to be a rather average portion, and although the soup base is well done, the... More

We went for a lunch on Sunday late afternoon (1:30pm) and had to wait for 40 minutes for party of 4. Hip ambiance with lots of energy. We ordered edamame and pork bun and vegetarian bun as appetizer. Edamame came with an interesting salt on the side. Pork buns were incredible, vegetarian buns were equally delicious with much more spicy... More

Had a very good bowl of Ramen for Lunch. Cha-Shu was very good as well as the soft egg. The pork buns as an appetizer was excellent. Very soft steamed bun with a nicely flavored cooked Pork that had just the right amount of crispiness in every bite.

This restaurant has really incredible food. Pork buns were phenomenal: tender meat, soft buns, just the right amount of spicy. Ramen choices were equally good. I highly recommend adding the egg to whichever ramen you choose. Also, the lychee martini is outstanding. Strong lychee flavor without any burn. Waitstaff was pleasant but overall a little pricey (but not exorbitantly).

The ramen and pork buns were out of this world!! Definitely worth the wait...however....the place, the employees and their service have a "chain" feel to it. Not very authentic and not very homelike. Would I go again? Absollutely? Would I try other Ramen restaurants in NYC, YES!!!

This was the best ramen I've ever had. The broth looks thick, but the taste was light , rich and tasty. The noodle was soft and perfect for me. This was the first time i didn't feel queasy after eating ramen. Better to come earlier before lunch or dinner time because I heard that we sometimes have to wait for... More

We had tried many Ippudo and Hakata Ippudo NY still the best ramen in NY. But we had to wait 45 min before get a table. But worth to wait. The ramen not much in a portion. But taste very good. Its consistency in ramen amazing. But the pork meat is too dry. We liked it more moist and still... More

After reading all the reviews, my expectations were really really high. Well the experience went beyond everything I had thought of. The Ramen was simply fantastic, one of the best I've ever had by far. The choice is not massive but good enough. Don't expect any other thing but ramen but hey, they are really specialized in it and they... More

After having tried Ippudo the last time i was in NYC about 18 months ago, i had to make it my first stop for this trip after a long flight. The tonkotsu broth on their ramen is very flavorful, especially with their signature spicy paste. Noodles were just the right consistency, and the slices of chashu were so good! I... More
