A small place near 14th and 1st ave, this is an absolute must go place for pizza lovers. The artichoke and crab pizzas are to die for. They are not like your typical Neapolitan pie but once you taste them, you'll never want one of those other ones again! Just remember cash only.

I was impressed with the reviews in TA and elsewhere and went for lunch in Artichoke Pizza. Ordered a slice of Artichoke Pizza and slice of Crab Pizza, neither tasted any good. I one of the worst things I've had in NYC, and I honestly can't understand the hype around this one.

I tried their Artichoke Pizza on a food tour. It was so yummy I was going to go back an get more after the tour, but we ran out of time. It was so tasty and creamy and the crust was so crunchy.

This was recommended to us by some security guards at nearby Chelsea Market. We were exhausted, hot, and hungry. There were three in our party. We ordered a wedge, and the three-slice sampler. Our flavors: artichoke, meatball parm, margherita, and crab. So good! The crust was nice and crispy and the sauces were good. The only "con" was that this... More

AMAZING pizza and salad! My family of four (2 adults, 14yr old and 10yr old) ordered 2 slices each and a large salad. This was far too much food for us. Start with one slice and split a small salad. The slices come cut into two pieces. We loved it all so much we brought it with us on the... More

Recommended this place by a friend who visited New York and was not let down. Brilliant place to sit and eat a slice of pizza while taking a break from exploring New York. Warning to fellow Brits, 1 slice would be enough!

Pizza was so fresh tasting & yummy. Sauce had the best tomato flavor and crust that was the perfect thickness.

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
