Free entertainment but expensive drinks

Nice bar with live entertainment. Drinks are expensive but generous. Convenient for Time Square or Broadway Shows.

Stopped in for a drink after the Broadway show and was shocked with the prices! My wife had a glass of wine and I had a rum and coke and it was $28 for the two drinks. Quaint little bar though and the piano player was very good!

This palace is really cool: jazz music live in combination with cocktails made by professional barmen. If you have doubts on what to drink just ask and they will help in chosing the cocktail in line with your style.

Drinks were good but waaaayyyyy too crowded. Prices definitely had a NY feel about them. Bar tenders know how to pour a drink but only 2 of them???

There were 2 waitresses & 1 other bar person but the main barman was the only person allowed to pour drinks & take money. The drinks took such a long time because he was serving all of the bar & making cocktails. We didn't return to bar again on our stay. The Edison hotel is not responsible for the Rum... More

As my boyfriend and I are massive cocktail/rum lovers, we thought that this would be a place that would suit us well and thought we'd explore after watching a show. As we walked in it was pretty busy and hard to get to the bar. It didn't really phase us as we understand that bars can get busy especially at... More

I like the Rumhouse. Very dim lighting which I like. I'd like it even more and would stay longer if the chairs were more comfortable. Drinks seemed a bit pricey but then they are NOT skimpy on their shots!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
