Great stop for a drink. Probably dinner too...

Stopped here with a friend. She was trying to show me some great stops for a drink. This is part of the JW Marriott Essex House at Central Park. We had drinks. So I can't tell you a thing about dinner. But the place had such a nice vibe. Come over.

So, we stayed in the Essex House hotel years ago (2011; of which this is the restaurant), when it was a Jumeriah; its sort of the same (don't know if Brad and Angelina still live on the top floor). My sense was that it had gone down hill a bit since then, while the prices had gone up a bit.... More

Went here because it was so convenient. Big mistake. Cup of coffee $9. One egg $9. One of us ordered 2 fried eggs and juice (sausage and toast came with it). The other ordered coffee and white toast. The egg meal was tasteless and appeared to have come off of the buffet at the other end of the room (buffet... More

Because of the inclement weather one night this past week, we decided to eat at the hotel. Although we had Executive Lounge privileges, there were no food options for me as I do not eat meat. At the Southgate Bar & Restaurant we were seated near the fireplace which was nice and cozy. I opted for the Goat Cheese Ravioli... More

Very nice place in the JW @ CPS. Good wine list, good food and good service. Had lunch with our family (expensive but good) and then drinks early evening. Definitely worth a stop in.

We ate here twice whilst staying at the hotel. Both meals, were of good quality and reasonably priced if you avoid alcohol. Menu after 11 pm is somewhat limited (but given the time you would expect that). Would recommend.

I had some of the best salmon I ever ate. One night we had early theater tickets. We told the waiter, who said don't worry and got us drinks and our food out in record time

We came here for dinner few weeks ago, been their several times for a drinks, always thought it was overpriced, but hoped dinner would be a great idea, food would be delicious and such. BUT was completely wrong! The food is not good at all ( again if you want to charge as a 5start Restorant than it has to... More

I was in New York for Thanksgiving with my family and somehow we made reservations to go to this establishment's "Thanksgiving Grand Buffet". It was $125 per person, with a welcome drink. Basically, as soon as I walked in the restaurant, my instinct was to leave the place. I should have followed my instinct. This was an expensive "Grand Buffet"... More

We had our pasta dinner before the marathon in this restaurants because we were staying in the hotel. The place was about half full. The food, tow out of the three pasta dish specials were very good, although my wife found a twig in the sauce. Most likely it fell from the chef's hands as he was pulling the fresh... More
