Came here with a co-worker and sat at the bar to eat. The bar is large so there are plenty of seats and the inside of the restaurant is medium size not large, but then again I am not sure if they have other rooms? The food and drink prices are fair for the location $12-$40, and it is right... read more

The prix fixe brunch was quite nice and a bargain in Midtown. Eggs Benedict were perfectly prepared; the salad was fresh and delicious, and the Bloody Mary spiced just right. The restaurant was a small, quiet and welcome oasis in the city. As another reviewer mentioned, I would encourage the restaurant to link more to the hotel in terms of... More

This is a good option, close to the Public Library, to have a nice lunch for 25-30 dollars. There are good wine choices.

Wanting to stop for a drink after a business meeting, we saw this place and thought it was a nice looking bar and restaurant. Because we walked in from the street we didn't realise that the place was part of a hotel. Two gin and tonics, one mojito and one glass of wine later, we left to go home $90... More

Lacks both creativity and quality. Sad because the location is good, but this place is just a random American restaurant.

Excellent service, nice menu. I wish the theme were books like the hotel but good enough - simple and unaffected.

A tight space, but food and service are good. One of the best in the area around Grand Central, an area where its hard to find a bona fide and good restaurant, not catering to just tourists and commuters. Easy to find on the corner of Madison and 41st. We had Cobb Salad with chicken and Nicoise Salad. Nicoise was... More

Had one of the three choices off the Prix Fix menu. Had Spinach Salad and Pan Seared Trout. All was excellent and price of $35.00 did include one glass of wine. Only three choices of wine as well. Service was excellent, and bread was very good

We ate here mainly because we were staying at the Library Hotel. We had the prix fix menu and enjoyed our meals. My chicken and spinach salad were delicious. A glass of wine also comes with the meal.

Good perhaps for a pre-dinner snack but not for an evening out dining. Food is dull and unimaginative. The Library Hotel next door does not benefit from this restaurant.

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
