For early dinner this offers good ambience and the prix fixee menu is good value (starter, entree/main and a glass of wine). The macaroni au gratin, crab cakes and trout could not be faulted although the steak was medium rare not rare as requested. The wines, were both relatively good ( an Alsatian Pinot Blanc from the fixed menu and... More

I would probably give this restaurant 3.5 stars. Lunch was good, but honestly, nothing to write home about it. Even for Manhattan, it was on the pricey side. What bugged me most was that the servers were rushing us through our meal, and the restaurant wasn't full, nor was there a line. I have been here for happy hour and... More

Stopped in for lunch while on a quick trip to Manhattan. I had the scallops with sautéed spinach. Wish I had ordered the lamb sandwich, which my friend had. It was amazing! The cocktails are expensive, but overall a great experience.

We were staying next door at the Library hotel and Madison & Vine was great for a drink on returning from sightseeing and before returning to our room. We also had lunch there twice which was excellent

Found this place quite by accident when we were hungrily looking for somewhere to eat as the place we planned to go nearby was closed. It was busy inside so we decided to give it a try. Great wine list, good food and a nice atmosphere. I would definitely recommend.

Really, there are MUCH better places to eat in NYC. I'd rate the Irish bar around the corner better than this place. We ate dinner here on a Friday night as it was close to our hotel. It wasn't that busy but the service was terrible. We had literally just finished our starters (salads that were heavily dressed) when our... More

This was located just next-door to our hotel, the Library. Very nice brunch, good cocktails, attentive service. Not particularly crowded on a Sunday so easy for us to grab something and hit the road. Would recommend it.

Especially if you want a glass of wine. The cheapest glass is $18.00. This is obviously a meet and greet for those going to Grand Central Station.

The rooftop bar is a great place especially for a romantic drink or two. Martinis are good but overpriced. The restaurant rates lower on ambience. More cafe than fine dining. Why serve cold bread rolls - they were correctly heated though on request. Chopped salad had been dressed for far too long making it a pickled salad! Baby land chops,... More

We stopped in at this bar for a quick wine on or last day in new York, it was just getting dark and getting cold. Much to the amusement of the staff we insisted that we sat outside, blankets were offered by very friendly staff offering a nice friendly atmosphere.
