Cozy Family Dinner to kick off our New York Visit

We'd just arrived from a long journey from Perth WA and we're staying at The Library so we were very pleased to have this cozy restaurant on site so despite the fact that my parents had eaten there the night before and had not been that impressed we were very keen to try it. The bar is very New... read more

We are staying in the Library Hotel and this place is in same building and thus convenient. I made a reservation for five for 5:30 for a party of five. We arrived at 5:30 and the restaurant was less than half full. They offered us a table for four -- such that five would be crowded. We asked for a... More

On behalf of the restaurant and staff, I would like to sincerely apologize about your recent experience at Madison and Vine. Having read your review, I am disappointed by the treatment you experienced. This does not reflect the high standards we hold and there is no excuse for the lack of service you received. The hostess’s only intentions were to... More

The service was average for New York and the food nothing special for the price. Quite busy on a weekday, but quieter in the weekend.

We ate here two nights because it was in our hotel and we wanted to eat early before shows. The service was good, but the food was average. If you want to eat here during the week, you need reservations, because a lot of business people eat and drink here during the week. Weekends are much less crowded.

I had a dinner meeting here. I was expecting it to be a quiet spot for dining but it was actually quite loud. The food was good but not memorable. The service was not bad but was average. It was convenient to GCT, which is why we picked this place. I'm not sure I would dine here again otherwise. The restaurant... More

Came here with a co-worker and sat at the bar to eat. The bar is large so there are plenty of seats and the inside of the restaurant is medium size not large, but then again I am not sure if they have other rooms? The food and drink prices are fair for the location $12-$40, and it is right... More

The prix fixe brunch was quite nice and a bargain in Midtown. Eggs Benedict were perfectly prepared; the salad was fresh and delicious, and the Bloody Mary spiced just right. The restaurant was a small, quiet and welcome oasis in the city. As another reviewer mentioned, I would encourage the restaurant to link more to the hotel in terms of... More

This is a good option, close to the Public Library, to have a nice lunch for 25-30 dollars. There are good wine choices.

Wanting to stop for a drink after a business meeting, we saw this place and thought it was a nice looking bar and restaurant. Because we walked in from the street we didn't realise that the place was part of a hotel. Two gin and tonics, one mojito and one glass of wine later, we left to go home $90... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
