Excellent service, seated straight away. The calamari starter is huge-enough for 2 people. Good fillet steak, well cooked. The cheesecake was excellent. Really tasty but not too heavy. Nice layout. Maybe book ahead as it was really bust when we were leaving.

We had excellent service from being seated right away without a reservation right through dessert. We were a party of five and everyone's food was delicious and prepared very well including the side dishes. The filet, sea bass and tuna were all excellent. Two of us had an entree special of duck which had some tough, chewy pieces. Our server... More

We had a wonderful dinner here, my second time at this particular Capital Grille in New York. Our server was Christian and he was very sweet and accommodating. Our filet was a special filet mignon cooked with the bone-in and was one of the best filets I've had at a Capital Grille steakhouse. Finished off our meal with the cheesecake... More

Visiting New York we kind of fell across this place via tripadvisor and went in. What a find. It was the most expensive place we ate on the US trip but, other than the Maine sea food restaurants, it was the best. It started well with two great cocktails (their house special of Vodka soaked through pineapple is delicious) and... More

I went to this place with high expectations. It's on 42 street and from the outside it looks attractively exclusive. The waiter, Shawn, was friendly and kind, the best feature of the restaurant after the paintings hanging throughout the restaurant. since it was my first time in the restaurant he immediately started to explain the culture of the restaurant: fresh,... We came here on a business lunch, so we don't worry about the prices (as it can get up there), but we always have a great meal at The Capital Grille. This was the first time at this location and it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere and service are excellent. The food is very good. The lobster bisque has big chunks... More

I came here recently on a business lunch. The place is well appointed and our waiter, Hunter, was very attentive. We had lobster rolls, lobster bisque, steak, and cobb salads. All excellent. Yes, it was a bit pricey, but certainly not ridiculous. You expect to pay quite a bit for an a la carte steakhouse, so if you're looking for... More

We went here after my husband ran the NYC Marathon. They offered us free champagne, appetizer and dessert. The meal and service were fabulous ( we had Marcel ) and Anna the manager stopped by a few times to check in on us.

Everything was good at the Grille, but when you are paying hefty prices for food it has to be excellent & therefore not good value for money. The service was good (Jeanette) but lacked genuinesness. The suggested amount of the tip was 20% & this certainly was not warranted. Overall good, but best to go on an expense account &... More

$44 for an order of Sesame Seared Tuna? Really? My guest ordered the Parmesan Crusted Sole and, truthfully, it looked like fried fish from Howard Johnson's circa 1973. He pushed it away. Regretfully, there was no salvaging this meal - we tried Oysters on the Half Shell (bland), French Green Beans (tasteless), and Truffle Fries (how can a kitchen take... More
