Good food

This restaurant is part of my favorite when I go to NYC. I like in particular the dry aged porterhouse and, of course, the decor.

Went to this restaurant for restaurant week. The service was excellent The wine selection was good. Having a wine list on an Ipad was impressive. I ordered a filet mignon. It was dry and had little flavor. The mashed potatoes were just ok. I expected so much more for a "high quality restaurant" and was a little disappointed.

We had a wonderful, faultless meal to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday on 12 August! The service, attention to detail, food, location, staff and ambiance were all perfect. PLEASE open a restaurant in London! Particular mention goes to Steve our fantastic waiter!

So my wife and I visited NYC following some training I'd done there for my job. It was my wife's first time in the Big Apple, and it happened to be Restaurant Week, so we decided to experience a few nice places near our hotel. As we were exhausted that first day we opted for the Capital Grille, which was... More

We went for a nice lunch and extremely pleased. The service was excellent with the staff politely and timely asking if we needed anything. The food was also excellent. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a very nice restaurant with excellent food and service.

we love to splurge on our diets when restaurant week comes around! a trip to Capital Grille included a delicious 3 course meal for a 'bargain' price (for this restaurant)! our only complaint was that while service was adequate it wasn't up to their usual high standard. however, all food was well prepared and delicious!

I hosted a rehearsal dinner for 40 and it was perfect. We had the fixed price menu that gave guests a wonderful choice of entrees. I recommend the dessert platter -- excellent choices and allowed for tasting several. The staff was pleasant and we didn't feel rushed. I put a limit on the amount of wine to be served and... More

The food was good, but everything seemed overly pricey. We were also rushed through the meal and given the bill pretty quickly. Speed is fine, but when sitting down for a nice meal I don't want to feel rushed.

My family went there for a late dinner during the NYC restaurant week. Both the steak and Salmon are excellent and so is the dessert. The service is quick and the server is very polite and friendly.

The staff was wonderful as was atmosphere however the prices were extreme for what we got. Everything is extra. We paid $100 for steak and salmon, no rice or potatoes. Rolls and bread were included. Skip this place.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
