Another Great Night in The Capital Grille

This is a great restaurant, serving excellent food in a very busy and well appointed dining room. On this visit, we were served by Kelley, who was really very pleasant and helpful. Starters, mains and desserts all first class. Good wine list, with a great mixture of price points. We would now... read more

Three of us went to lunch at the Capital Grille. A reservation is a must, as it is quite busy through the lunch time. Our food was excellent (we each had different kinds of salads), bread and service were excellent, and, because it was later in the lunch period, the restaurant was quite peaceful and we were able to have... We had reservations at Spark's for dinner and left because of picketing outside. We had no plans but my husband and I took a shot at coming here and I am so glad our original plans fell through! In spite of not having a reservation on a busy Saturday around 8pm, they hostess was able to seat us right away.... More

My family took a trip last week to New York City in order to find a wedding dress for my daughter. One evening, we were interested in an excellent steak dinner and discovered the Capital Grille near Grand Central Station. Most of us had filet mignon, and our meals were perfectly prepared! The dinner was expensive, about $75 per person,... More

Sat at the bar and ordered from the bar menu. Started with the asparagus soup which was excellent. We shared the Lamb Chops and Beef tenderloin sliders. Both were amazing. Cooked to perfection. Love sitting at the bar. Great service with individualized attention. The draft beer selection was just OK. Needs more variety of the local craft beer.

I have been passing by this place many times during my two weeks stay in NY and it was always crowded. Finally, on my last day, entered during lunch time and had an amazing food experience. Wish I went there much earlier rather the exploring for two weeks with different places. Although place look expensive from outside, prices are very... More

This is an excellent restaurant where one gets an excellent filet for a considerable price. The portions are too generous as so often in the US, but the ambience is very pleasant, reasonably quiet and service courteous. We enjoyed our dinner there.

The food was cooked to perfection. I had the Delmonico steak which was absolutely superb. My husband had the surf and turf. Both of us felt that the steaks were cooked as we requested. Great ambiance and good food paired with an attentive staff was exactly what we received. Being Valentine's Day, I thought that it would be extremely crowded... More

Unchanging and completely unpretentious. Two solid things we look for in a week-night night dining choice. Steaks and lamb consistent, desserts are divine. Drinks are made well, staff friendly and knowledgeable. Can't go wrong here. Well done!

Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
