Great food and great service....

This review would've been 5 stars accept for the fact that they should ditch the carpet and fabric doctors office type chairs. The carpet and chairs are just dirt magnets and not food establishment friendly. Imagine food being ground into the carpet and chair arms. My suggestion would be black and... read more

The staff is friendly and helpful. They have several interesting and unusual choices on their menu. I am willing to bet this is the only place in all of Carlsbad you can get Rocky Mountain Oysters. The cost is on the lower side, and they have a good location, easy to find. Your order comes to the table quickly. I... More

It doesn't look like much but oh my goodness! We were seated with a smile immediately. Our drinks came shortly after that. We both order the senior meal which included the drink for only $9.50. Our salads came out crispy & cold on a cold plate. We were offered fresh ground pepper on it...surprise no 1. I had the steak... More

Prime Rib dinner for each of us. Perfectly done medium rare with vegetable medley, instead of potato. Horseradish freshly ground in the kitchen: Watch how much you use(!). Pick your salad dressing; all are house made. Say yes when server asks you about bread and you'll get a small load bakes on site. Wish I could tell you about the... More

Wide array of menu items and it was all good. There was six of us in our group and we ordered a wide array of food. No complaints and lotsa good comments. They even have superb Rocky Mountain Oysters. Be brave. Try 'em!

I occasionally travel to Carlsbad for work, and the choice of restaurants in this town is limited. I have eaten at most of the restaurants in town, and recommend giving the No Whiner Diner a try for anyone spending much time in Carlsbad. The food is good and affordable, and the service is excellent. Also, the food is served quickly....so... More

We were with friends on a 600 mile drive from Del Rio Texas to Santa Fe New Mexico. My friend had us get up super early in order to reach Carlsbad before this restaurant's closure at 1:45 for their afternoon break. It was absolutely worth it!

I really enjoy this little diner. Its not your average big chain restaurant but I think that's why it makes it a must stop spot. The service is always friendly and fast and the food is always great and tasty. they also have a lot of historical pictures that hang around the restaurant and its neat to go through them... More

Not much to choose from when dining in Carlsbad. Picked the diner because it was simple and quick. Enjoyed the meal. Reasonable prices, good efficient service. Portions were more than ample. Had soup, which was homemade and delicious. Had meatloaf (for me a comfort food from my youth) which was also homemade. I'm glad we chose the diner for our... More

Good food, No Whiner Diner is known for its prime rib and catfish dinners, pasta dishes and a variety of sandwiches. It also has at least three different soups daily. The portions are ample and the prices are very reasonable. It is an inviting dining environment. The service is excellent. I have never had a bad meal here.
