This is a buzz with folks eating breakfast and lunch and its no wonder. They serve fresh cooked wholesome food at very reasonable prices. Never had a bad meal here in 20 visits

I love alfalfa sprouts so when I saw the were on the menu in a turkey sandwich, I ordered it. They loaded my sandwich up with turkey, the vegetables were all fresh. I thought the bread tasted good but the roll was too thick. I think they should offer a green chile mayo, it would have made my sandwich out... More

I went for a late lunch and had the Enchilada plate with green sauce. I like green chili's (these were mild) and it was very good. The beans were good and there was plenty of food. The service was good and everyone was friendly. I started to order the apple pie but learned that it wasn't homemade so I skipped... More

We were leaving Carlsbad, NM after battling bad weather and Guadalupe Peak ( we made it to the top ! ). We wanted, and needed, a good and filling breakfast. The Pecos River Cafe was exactly what we were looking for. The service was great, even though the place was packed, and the food was equally good. Please note that... More

We stopped in for breakfast and had their pancakes which were quite tasty. The service was prompt and friendly. Couldn't ask for more. Would recommend.

We came in search of more enchiladas, and found them here. They were doing a booming takeout business with locals. Always a good sign. Our waitress was very nice and the food came amazingly fast. We stopped here after discovering our first choice (Lucy's) was closed on Mondays (bad trip planning on our part!). So, we were hangry when we... More

Only open until 2 p.m., but it is well worth the effort to come in. If you find a line - wait! You'll be glad you did!

Ate here for lunch while visiting the caverns. Sandwiches, soups, burgers, salads, Mexican food. Everything we had was yummy. Service was great. The place was very crowded and loud. LOts of local businessmen eating there which is always a good sign. Nothing pretty or romantic about it - just tasty food and large portions. It seemed a bit pricy, about... More

During our trip to visit the Caverns, we decided to check out this place for breakfast. Our first experience proved noisy as Locals fill this to capacity during the morning rush. The next morning we waited until closer to 9am and were rewarded with a little bit quieter meal. The service was friendly and quick in spite of the crowd.... More
