Not baked....parboiled. Chopped beef was warmed up in the sauce. Butter and sour cream were melted in the take home box. Not a fan. First and last time to eat here.

This is a highly-decorated restaurant sporting plenty of hunting trophies and taxidermied wild animals, along with catchy signs. They have decent bar-b-que, but it's loaded with salt. That's pretty much all I taste in the sandwiches or the plates. That said, their green chile cheeseburger ranks up with the best. The restaurant is pretty pricey, too. My husband and I... More

Very yummy barbecue. It is Kentucky style, so a bit vinegary (don't expect sticky sweet BBQ sauce) but absolutely amazing. I had the smashed pig, hubby and son had brisket. Everything was hot and fresh and delicious. Ended lunch with fresh cobbler and ice cream. A definite awesome lunch spot.

We were having a difficult time finding a unique and acceptable place to eat in Carlsbad. (Not a big fan of the town.) This restaurant had good barbecue at a good price. I had the chop mix sandwich and enjoyed it. Can't recall what my wife had, but she was also pleased. The place is one of a kind, decor... More

We were on vacation and stopped here for dinner. This place was interesting. The decor is relaxing and was a mix of country with native wildlife. As you walk into the restaurant, the atmosphere reminded you of a home cooking. Service was good. Food was acceptable but nothing extraordinary. It is OK food at fair prices.

This was a nice place to eat. I had the brisket with beans and a salad. They brought rolls and honey and bbq sauce to the table. I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce but that's just a matter of taste. It was a little too sweet for me. Honestly, my meal didn't need sauce. The brisket was perfect!... More

The staff was friendly and the service was good. The rolls were our favorite part of our meal. The catfish, beans and potato salad were all very good. We weren't big fans of the beef brisket, sausage or barbeque sauce. Overall the meal was good, but I would only recommend the catfish meal with beans and potato salad and the... More

My wife and I wanted BBQ and had seen the reviews on this place so we decided to try it out. We went on a Friday and were glad we did, they are closed on Saturdays and we would have missed out on some great smoke beef and ribs. The sauce was tangy and was some of the best we... More
