This was a nice place to eat. I had the brisket with beans and a salad. They brought rolls and honey and bbq sauce to the table. I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce but that's just a matter of taste. It was a little too sweet for me. Honestly, my meal didn't need sauce. The brisket was perfect!... More

The staff was friendly and the service was good. The rolls were our favorite part of our meal. The catfish, beans and potato salad were all very good. We weren't big fans of the beef brisket, sausage or barbeque sauce. Overall the meal was good, but I would only recommend the catfish meal with beans and potato salad and the... More

My wife and I wanted BBQ and had seen the reviews on this place so we decided to try it out. We went on a Friday and were glad we did, they are closed on Saturdays and we would have missed out on some great smoke beef and ribs. The sauce was tangy and was some of the best we... More

My husband & I happened to be driving through Carlsbad around dinner time & he wanted barbecue. We were driving by this place right at that time so stopped in. Service was excellent, ribs & brisket were delicious. They toast the rolls which were a nice touch. they were extremely fast too. We had the peach cobbler & it was... More

Good atmosphere for a bbq restaurant. The service was good, better than most restaurants in the Carlsbad area. The brisket was cooked very well and had good flavor. Priced fair. Over all a good value and experience!

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The food was great. Our waiter was Joseph. He made the restaurant. His attitude and friendly welcoming smile was great. We were visiting and he ended the night great!

This was a good option for a late lunch after our visit to the caverns. I normally would not have tried brisket, but so many reviewers mentioned it, I just had to try it. I was not disappointed - it was very tender! Service was great also.

We were driving by this place & decided to try it. Do glad we did. The brisket was just right, the fried okra was crispy and you get free refills on your non-alcoholic drink. The decor us manly with animal heads mounted on the wall. Price was very reasonable.I ordered a small portion & got alot of food and was... More

We didn't exactly come to Carlsbad for the food, but thought that BBQ might be a good option. Red Chimney was easy to find and looked OK so we went for it. I was a little concerned about the menu when I noticed that there wasn't an option for choosing how many ribs we wanted. We usually just split a... More
