Kaleidoscope provides an oasis to Ice Cream fanatics!

Hot weather + Sweet tooth = Ice Cream! My hot fudge sundae was the perfect combination, including whipped cream and a cherry on top at no extra charge. Did I mention the hot fudge was actually hot and applied with a ladle, not a squirt bottle? Ice Cream done right!

Stopped to get a cool treat. The place was pretty crowded, but the staff was friendly. The portions were small, but priced accordingly. They had several unique flavors like More Cowbell, Trashcan, and Daquiri Ice.

We visited in the late afternoon and were the only customers at that time. Enjoyed ice cream and tried the "Texas Toothpicks' as a side with a Chicken Strip order. I had no idea what the toothpicks were. Come to find out, they are battered & deep fried tiny pepper skin strips. When ordering an ice cream sundae or banana... More

We had two cheese burgers, fries, fried pickles, and 2 small cups of ice cream. I was very surprised that the burgers and side were fairly good. Carlsbad has very limited options when it come to food and I would recommend a stop here. They have about twenty different types of ice cream and yogurt and both of our choices... More

Nice local favorite for many years it looks like. Good for a real hot day! Don't make their own ice cream and the floors were just filthy. Won't go back except on a real hot day!

Great Icecream. It has that old diner, Icecream shop feel. We found this our last evening in Carlsbad, after dinner. I wish we had found it sooner so we could have tried the food.

We loved the ice cream and liked the diner feel. The prices were very reasonable. The Ice cream cakes looked so delish

I took my daughter there for a Friday night treat. We both had yogurt. It wasn't that softserve stuff either. It was very good!

A hole in the wall! I would never had guessed the hamburgers would be so delicious. The waffle fries were great as well. The kids loved the variety of ice cream. Yum.
