Good Backup Restaurant

We ate at the Capitol Reef Inn & Café after our other choice of restaurant closed early. The Capitol Reef Inn & Café was able to take us without reservations. They had a large menu, the food was prepared well and was tasty, and reasonably priced. The noise level was reasonable considering that... read more

Fresh is the byword here. If you feel the need for fruit and veggies, some grilled or smoked trout, honey-sweetened fruit pie, and a nice bottle of wine to savor with your meal, go here. As someone else said, it's not much to look at from the outside, but when the parking lot is packed, you know it must be... More

We arrived at the restaurant apparently right during the dinner rush, and our waitress promptly ignored us. When she finally took our orders, she didn't seem terribly happy to be there. I don't know if she was new or just having one of those nights, but apparently she never put our order in (she did apologize for the mistake). So... More

Not much to look at from the highway, but well worth the stop. We had a great dinner there with some unusual dishes. The service was great and a fun place to go

This Inn is very welcoming, in a super, quiet location with a fab pool. The staff are warm and friendly. The café accommodated all 50 of our group throughout the evening and next day at breakfast; everyone was happy and praised both the hotel proprietor and the Crazy Cow café for super food and friendly staff.

The food was varied, healthy and locally sourced. A real find in this area. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The pie is made by a local resident. Gifts from the shop are unique. Books of local interest are plentiful.

Capitol Reef inn and cafe is an informal but fine place to eat while in Torrey. The salads are very fresh and included a lot of different kinds of vegetables. The dressing was fair. Service was friendly and prompt. Prices were average for the area.

Torrey is an odd little town that doesn't seem to realize it's the gateway to a National Park. Customer service does not seem to be a priority. So we were glad to find this great cafe for dinner during the busy UEA weekend. The outside looks a little rundown from the road, but you enter through a cute garden area... More

Breakfast was expensive. Service poor. Food was average. The waitress tried hard. I think the problem may have been in the kitchen. Expect a full breakfast and drink to run $12-15 per adult.
