Not to be mistaken with capital reef resort.

Was warned on Trip Advisor that this was not to be mistaken for the Capital Reef Resort. Stopped in for lunch our first day in Torrey. Very fresh food. Small gift shop. Their booth seating had chair pads that were very dirty. I would recommend for lunch.

We were in Torrey to hike at Capitol Reef National Park, and enjoyed 2 breakfasts and a dinner here. Great menu choices, beyond, better and more creative than most places in little Utah towns. Everything was fresh and there were lots of vegetarian choices.

After visiting Capitol Reef National Park, my family and I were hungry and wanted to eat before settling in at our hotel. The smoked trout is wonderful. My husband got the platter and my son had it atop the 10 - vegetable salad. I ordered shrimp scampi over the 10 - vegetable salad, and my daughter had the chicken fajitas.... More

I had the southwestern chicken and my husband had a steak. Both were very good and were reasonably priced. We were there about 6 pm on a Friday night and it wasn't crowded.

Torrey is a small town and there don't seem to be a lot of options, but this place is really special. They food is home made, fresh, and delicious. We had the rib dinner, big salad with trout, and berry pie. Everything was tasty and pleasing in every way. Wish we had stayed here too!

My son and I ate here during our stay in Torrey, UT. We ordered the pizza which was outstanding, but we also ordered a salad. I am an iceberg salad person, so I was a little dissatisfied with the salad even though my son loved it. The owner was very friendly. I would return, I just wouldn't order the salad.

Both mornings in Torrey we had breakfast at Capitol Reef Inn & Cafe. Liz was the "do it all" lady both mornings. No only did she seat us, take our orders, act as cashier. . .she had a running conversation with all the diners and knew someone from every state. What a delight! Coffee was fresh and we had a... So first off if the owner ever reads this, my apologies for saying no one in the west, well midwest as he corrected me can make clam chowder. I am a new englander, and as such we like New England clam chowder and no one can make it as good as I can get it here right by the Atlantic... More

We (I) wanted rainbow trout for dinner but didn't want to spend >$20 so we gave Capital Reef Inn a shot. Nice almost dinner style eating area with large adjoining gift shop. Most dinners were having the ribs or burgers, but the grilled trout was very good as was the 10 vegetable salad. Don't miss all the petrified wood in... More
