In March, Torrey did not have a lot of restaurant offerings, but we had a decent diner kind of dinner here. However, what moved this local restaurant from 3 to 4 stars was their excellent pie ala mode. My cousin had apple pie and I had a berry pie that appeared to be homemade. Nice waitstaff.

This is a dismal place, dinner is tasteless and dry. The salad didn't even contain one tiny piece of tomato or shredded carrot to give it some color, just the cheap kind of lettuce pieces. The rolls were bad beyond description, tough pieces of warm cardboard. The man who takes your money who mostly sits by the entrance is the... More

With the cars in the lot, thought it might be good. Well the cars were all the employees. We were the only customers! Meat loaf made husband ill. I had southwestern chicken. No flavor at all. Don't go.

We stopped here for breakfast on our travels. The breakfast was decent but nothing all that special. It seemed overpriced for being average. I have a question if anyone can answer though. We ate breakfast at more than one place and only in UT does the toast come to the table dry with no butter on it. The butter that... More

This is a homely and welcoming place to eat - okay it's well-worn but it's none the worse for that. We had fresh, appetising food which was a pleasure after some of the places we'd eaten on our trip thus far - good quality ingredients, healthy and plentiful. The atmosphere is relaxing which is good after a long hot day... More

It's been a few years since I ate at Capitol Reef Inn and I'm glad we did. As a business owner in Torrey I like to recommend restaurants when asked. The service was great and the food was very good. I went with my mom and husband and we all finished our plates. My mom who is very picky about... More

I had passed this place so many times on my way to the lower desert areas before so this time stopped to give it a try as it always had cars parked out front. It's just west of the Capitol Reef National park in Torrey. Looks like it is a well established café with an Inn in back. You enter... More

We ate here during an April visit to Torrey. We usually prepare our own meals when travelling, but you get tired of bbq chickens and deli salads and look forward to a treat. Unfortunately, the meal we got at the Capitol Reef Inn was only average. The best part was the fresh fruit pie we had for dessert. I was... More

As Fulltime RVers, trying out local foods is a treat in our travels. The Torrey Zip Code includes only 360 people and the business is very seasonal, so we did not expect much. Wrong! We enjoyed many good meals at Capitol Reef Inn & Café during the month we spent here. It became our go-to restaurant. Their Smoked Trout 10... More
