My family and I were on vacation in the Outer Banks and while visiting the waterfront in Manteo, wanted to eat an early dinner/late lunch at Ortega'z. We had seen it featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and wanted to see what the fuss was about. It did not disappoint! We started off with the old standby of... More

Good food and large portions. Small seating capacity for the demand. Get there early for dinner or you will wait. This is a very good and safe pick for a family meal. Recommended and I will return.

My parents are locals in Manteo and warned against this restaurant. We should have listened to them!! The service was slow and our waitress was in attentive and never asked us how our food was after she delivered it. We ordered the pork tacos and paella-the chips were very greasy and the shellfish in the paella was fishy and uneatable!... More

My wife and I ate lunch here on June 25, 2014. We arrived around 1PM and were promptly seated by the hostess. We split and order of the Crab Baked Mac & Cheese, and we both ordered a cup of their She Crab Bisque, and the Crab Stuffed Shrimp as our entrée. The Mac & Cheese is to die for... More

We enjoyed sitting outside, and the food was good - good portions and served quickly. Server was friendly and kept an eye on our needs. The fish tacos were tasty and well priced. The black beans could have been a little softer for my taste. Would like to come back and try more items.

Will definitely be back again! The server was friendly, knowledgeable, and excited to do his job. The food came out quick and was hot and full of flavor. The owner came out multiple times to check on us and even acknowledged and talked with my 3 year old. Would recommend trying ortegaz and I will be back !

This was by far the best place to eat in obx. The owner was very kind and a gentle man. Service was quick and the desert was to die for. Plan on returning very often

Food was wonderful. Though I would love chips on the table like other Mexican restaurants. Fish tacos and shrimp quesadillas were a winner at our table. We also got steak chimichangas.

We stopped here because the open air diners were having such a good time. Our first time in Manteo we were looking for a nice restaurant. Much to our delight, Wine Wenesday at Ortegaz has HALF PRICE for all of it's bottled wines. There specials are varied and tasty. I had the soft shell crabs and my wife had the... More

We have been walking past this little restaurant for years and decided to have lunch there. It was great. The service and there food were great. There were 6 of us and we ate at the bar. Tacos were great and they had a great selection of beer. Great experience in every way.
