A group of girls chose this restaurant as an alternative to a long wait at restaurants closer to the beach. For appetizers we tried the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and the fried tomatoes with shrimp. Both were good. Favorites ordered were the rockfish Reuben and fish tacos. Wouldn't order the rockfish plate again, however, the small plate offering was attractive.... More

Not exceptional, but we enjoyed a new location in Manteo on the waterfront. We both ordered the crab cakes and like them a bit crisper and with lump. These were fairly mushy and without lumps. I think this may be a personal preference and would be willing to try this location again.

Stripers in located at the end of a small dockside/pier condo development just outside "downtown" Manteo. There are three floors, but only two are open to the public (there is an elevator). The bar is located on the first floor; however, you can get a full meal on either level. Full glass windows allow for beautiful views of Shallowbag Bay.... More

Half of our group stopped by Stripers for a light snack and drink while the other half went parasailing. We ordered a few beers and buffalo wings. The wings were tasty, but the bottled beer was warm. Switched to mixed drinks. Sat outside to view the parasailing, and the waitress was not pleasant. There were only two tables to wait... More

We ate here recently with a large group (18 people). The seafood was excellent and we especially appreciated small and large plates for portions. The small plate size was plenty for me and at a reasonable cost. The only thing we didn't like was the 20% gratuity that was automatically included on the bill. That seems really high. The service... My family decided on Stripers via some TripAdvisor reviews. We went for lunch and had the Cheesesteak Egg Rolls which were fabulous. We also had Crab Dip, Onion Soup and Pasta Alfredo. All were wonderful! However, the server we had was less than attentive or experienced. We had to flag her down to get more drinks and some more of... More

Great mussels. The fish and chips were also good. It is a nice menu. But the view over the water does it!

My husband and I come to Stripers every time we're in the area. They always have fresh, delicious seafood at a good price. The best time to go is between 3:30 and 5:30pm to get half-price steamed crab legs. I have gotten the fried green tomatoes with shrimp and goat cheese twice now, and it tastes wonderful. The chef definitely... More

This place was pretty good. It is a bit hard to find though off the main road going into downtown Manteo. You have to slow down to see the sign since it's back from the main road in a condominium complex. Great views of the water. I got the ahi tuna which was very good. I'm assuming their other seafood... More
