The Best Coffee on the East Coast...

May be in the Out Banks of NC. There are a couple of independent coffee houses on the Outer Banks. Each are well worth the stop, and either is far superior, IMHO, to the Starbucks that have recently opened there. I stop here on the way up. Good drinks and plenty of options if you don't drink coffee or milk! Plenty of comfy seating and friendly service. Will be up again in-season.

I come here all the time. It used to be my favorite get away to read a book or get some work done; I used to love coming here. But since new staff has came in the place has gone down hill. Some are even seniors from the shops up the beach. The coffee is never made right. The muffins... More

We stopped in here for the first time on our Family Vacation for Thanksgiving. The moment we walked in we we're greeted by the friendly staff! They had a wonderful selection of specialty drinks and pastries, my fiance' loved the orange cranberry muffin. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and the staff made us feel welcome. We have been coming... More

The Front Porch was clean and comfortable with a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive. But best of all - THE COFFEE WAS GREAT!

Met friends here for breakfast or coffee several times during a recent visit. Lots of choices but I really liked the oatmeal. Staff is helpful and friendly, plenty of space to sit and chat.

Most mornings I spend a comfortable hour at the Front Porch sitting in an easy chair and reading. A nice way to start the day. The staff are great. Coffee is excellent although sometimes not real hot. Pastries made in house are good.

We were staying just down the street and I went everyday for a wonderful latte. The service and atmosphere is great. They have lots more to offer. I also purchased a selection of NC craft brews to take home to a friend. They have a great selection to talk home or have there. It is a great location and you... More

I just get the reg coffee. But it was really good. When I realised they didn't have cocoa on the bar they totally hooked me up. :-) I had been going to another local coffee shop further away but after getting a good cup of coffee at the Bad Bean they told me it was The Front Porch. The Front... More
