There are two main things you look for when you go to a restaurant or cafe - good food and good service, and the Hungry Pelican has both in abundance. Service was exemplary and when the gentleman brought our sandwiches he said he would let us know when the fresh coffee was ready. He actually brought us our coffees and,... More

We enjoyed a peaceful lunch with a view in Manteo. I had a pastrami special and my husband had the Reuban. The Reuban was my favorite. The service was nice and the sandwiches were made to order.

The days special smelled so good we had to stop. We were not disappointed. Sandwiches were fresh and served with chips. Nice view and friendly service.

Good location on the water with marina views. Our sandwiches were excellent, and the service was friendly and reasonably quick. The sandwiches are served with a generous side of chips, and the lemonade was good..

We were looking for a new, local place to try out on vacation and we saw the Hungry Pelican and decided to give it a whirl. In a word, delicious! I had a chipotle chicken on ciabatta, my husband had "angry bird", and our son had a turkey sandwich. Our food came quickly and was fresh and tasty. We also... More

I had a Reuben & my wife had a BBQ chicken sandwich. Both with chips and I had a diet Pepsi, all for less than $20---not bad for a resort area. We both took 1/2 of our sandwich home for later. Good food and good value. Worth climbing a few steps, and walking a little way for a good deal. Will return... More

After visiting the Aquarium, we were hungry. We chose this restaurant solely from choosing the best-sounding name off of our GPS, and we were not disappointed. It was a little difficult to find at first, but we liked it so much we made the one-hour trek from our rental house to eat their a second time that week!
