Solid Quality-Great People-Reasonable

This is a quality seafood resto with tasty options and great staff service. (The bloody Mary was wonderful, as well). We were a bit rushed, as we were heading to a play and staff was greatly accommodating. Fish was perfectly grilled, fish tacos, tasty and no pretense.

We went to this place on July 4th and ordered Fried Fish Platter, Cajun Shrimp and Fried Calamary. It took more than 50 minutes to serve this platter. Really? When the food came, we were greatly disappointed as 20% of the dish had some fish and 80% were the Fries. Fried Calamary has only calmaries with dish full of fries... More

We just came to buy fish, but loved the vibe and will be back. Fresh, well-priced seafood, with a knowledgeable and friendly proprietor. Great if you're looking for fresh delicious food that isn't just New England standard

We always eat at Catch of the Day our first night on the Cape. And we usually end up back there at least twice more during the week. Everything we have tried is fresh and delicious. My favorite is their fish and chips. The fish is perfect, flaky and white and the fries are crispy and seasoned just right. The... More

For casual and delicious dining, we like to go to "Catch" at least once a visit. We went in mid May and had two buckets of the sweetest, freshest steamers ever. Friendly service and a good little market.

Went to the Cape "off season" when other fish markets weren't open. "Take Out" ordered steamed lobster (only - just the lobster) to take back to our cottage. $25.00 for a 1.5 lb lobster!! $100 dinner for 4 people with no salad, potato, vegetables! Royal rip off! And they no longer drop the lobster in boiling water, which kills them... More

We love the Catch of the Day and visit it when we stay next door at The Southfleet Motor Inn. The food is fresh and the service is very friendly. We love Stormy the bartender. He is great.

We've been to many restaurants over the years, but the one we always consistently enjoy is Catch of the Day. Their chowder is delicious and fresh. Their fried plates are not greasy, but rather light and flavorful. The whole belly clams are fat and tasty. We always start with a bucket of mussels. While the inside dining room is bland... More

This restaurant is next to and run by the same owner as the more elegant Van Renssalears Restaurant nearby, with the same attention to freshness and quality. The atmosphere is more informal, the food is somewhat less expensive with less variety in the menu. Still very excellent quality, fresh seafood, with choices of 4 sauces/presentations. The Cajun blackened seafood is... More
