We love going to eat at the Bookstore, we try to return yearly. Fried Oysters are a must try. They definitely do seafood right!

We've been here several times over the past few years since they opened as a restaurant. The food has gotten better and the prices have gone up. The décor hasn't kept up. Its not fixed up and its not rustic. It feels a bit "pre-fab" ... windows and lighting circa "Home Depot". . That said, the staff if friendly and... More

I took my two boys out to dinner on vacation and we hit the Bookstore. We asked for a table on the upper deck outside and within 5 minutes, we were seated with a great view and a nice server. Our orders were taken in a good amount of time and the food was very well done. It's not a... More

The very best food on Cape Cod. The seafood is phenomenal and the steaks are also the best to be found east of Rhode Island. We eat here every time we come to Cape Cod.

We were pleased with their lobster rolls and similar Cape sea food. I wouldn't expect much from their more ambitious offerings, though. On the other hand, their onion soup is so good, it would a Parisian chef jealous. And if your timing is right, you can enjoy your meal on the deck with a water view.

Part One:Eat here fairly often, usually for lunch as I enjoy the mussels on the daily special luncheon menu which are different from the regular menu and change each day of the week. Went for dinner with two friends. Two of us ordered mussels. They were cold when they arrived so we sent them back. Waited an appropriate time and... More

There's not much than can top a great meal with a backdrop of Wellfleet harbor. We dined on a Saturday night and were seated quickly. We dined outside, since it was a perfectly gorgeous evening. The oysters were top notch- the "two of each" just weren't enough, so we ordered another set! The clam chowder was rather thick, but very... More

18th year visiting and having lunch at the Bookstore. Kale soup was amazing as always. Best Oysters on the Cape. Service was great. A regular stop on our annual trip to Cape Cod.

We shocked the oyster dude by asking him for 5 doz to start! Briny and sweet - we waited a year for them. Mussels delicious, great w a glass of rose. We also had fried oysters and some more typical lunch fare. As always a great time.

Just a fun, fast place to eat lunch when you are at the harbor. Good drinks and good food. It's always fun to sit on the top deck and watch the water.
