We have been coming here for years on vacation. We plan our trip to arrive in time for lunch. In May we moved to the area. We have eaten everywhere and still love the Bookstore. They serve fresh local seafood in a friendly local way. If you are looking to be fussed over go somewhere else. This is a great... More

This is a beautiful location and the food is good. It's not great. This is the kind of place where you want to be a bit choosy--go for the oysters and fresh seafood. Everything else is pretty much standard, not a fancy dinner, more down home: fried stuff, ok salads, etc. If you are in the mood for fresh seafood... More

My husband and I stopped here for lunch during a recent trip to Wellfleet. The bookstore has a big selection of old comic books and magazines. Most of the books were pretty old - not too much recent material. The restaurant has a big menu. I had the chowder and lobster roll. Both were very good. My husband had a... More

Called in for a bit of local seafood lunch. After a short wait the hostess got us onto the first floor balcony which has great bay views. I opted for the boiled lobster special at 27 dollars which came with coleslaw and fries. Very nice and flavoursome. My wife had a Cobb chicken salad which was very generous and will... More

Sat outside on a windy Friday eve--do yourself a favor and sit inside on windy evenings! It's very uncomfortable on the deck-ordered Seafood pot, mussels and a lobster roll. The seafood was overdone and the busboy kept trying to take our plates away! There are better lobster rolls in the area--and better restaurants.

My GF and her parents have frequented the Bookstore many times in the past during their Cape Cod vacations and my GF wanted to go there once again for old times sake. Upon entering there was dining outside on the porch, inside and upstairs in closed dining rooms. We started the evening with drinks at the small, but extremely busy... More

This place gets better every year-location on Wellfleet Harbor can't be beat! Service can be mediocre unless you get Jamie or Helmi, who are both unfailingly pleasant & attentive. Best clam chowder-

The view from the top deck was amazing. Great menu with lots if great choices. Prices were reasonable. We will definitely go again.

We have been to this restaurant twice in the last two years and it has been very good both times. The view from the porch is beautiful, the food is good and the prices are reasonable. All four of us liked our food, and no one left hungry.

Love this place. My family an I visit here every year while on vacation. We also have the Kale Soup and Steamers. There just the best. My wife had the Seafood Reuben and loved it. The server was fantastic and attentive to my family's needs. I also treated myself to a cocktail, the Italian Iced Tea. It was delicious. Sitting... More
