We've been to Mac's Shack 3 times (twice this year, once last year) and have not been disappointed. In our experience the oysters were very fresh, very meaty and served properly chilled. The clam chowder is good, its not the thick gummy stuff you encounter in so many restaurants, its thinner, but creamy rich and suitably clammy. Fried flounder blt... More

... then that is exactly what you will get. This 'shack' is situated right on the harbor with all the boats and atmosphere expected in such a location. While the pricing isn't exactly cheap, the food is very good. We had a nice variety which included excellent clam chowder. The 'lobstah' roll was huge and delicious. While the onion rings... More

Nice atmosphere, good music, pleasant waitress. We ate outside which was delightful and a great place to have the kids. The clams and oysters were terrific.

Mac is a typical seafood coastal stop that you will invariably hit on a wellfleet stop. Sushi fresh fish and of course oysters are all terrific. Tuna and sword were particularly great. Easy, comfortable.

Casual surroundings with that seaside shack charm. Experienced wait staff, fresh seafood well prepared. Place feels like it's been here for 50 years and you can smell the fresh air from the harbor close by. A vacation hot spot, crowded and lively: THE place to be!

For those of you in the crowd who love oysters...my husband says these are plump, briney, large oysters. We ate here two years ago and he couldn't wait to return. His dream come true would be to come here for the oysterfest next month. Keep in mind, this truly is a "shack" at the pier, so don't expect linens and... More

If you've ever wondered how good Wellfleet oysters can be, this is the place to find out. A chill place with fantastic food. The tiradito of halibut was outstanding as was the Hawaian poke salad (a kind of tuna tartar over rice served sashimi style). Start with oysters and littlenecks with one of their great whites or roses and you... More

Came for lunch. I had clam chowder that was fantastic. Crab cakes were good also but a bit small. My wife had grilled swordfish that was excellent. My only complaint is the use of paper and plastic products. No plates or silverware provided for lunch for two. Seems like a $45 lunch deserves real plates and silverware.

Seafood restaurant located at the Wellfleet Town Pier: order at the window and eat at the picnic tables on the beach beside the water: great location. Cashier was not very friendly. The fried oysters platter had a huge quantity along with french fries and cole slaw that were excellent. The fried codfish was also excellently prepared. The menu had fried... More

Delicious food, great service and really fun atmosphere! The hostess said there was a 90 minute wait for a table but she seated us at the sushi bar right away. That sushi was fantastic! My boyfriend had the sashimi plate and it was definitely worth the 39$!
