After hearing several recommendations from locals regarding the Lobster Roll my wife and I drove 15 miles, passing many seafood restaurants in order to go Mac's. I have never been so disappointed in a recommendation. The lobster roll was tasteless and bland. Considering the price $21, this meal was ssssooooooooooo over-rated! Extremely disappointed! Phil

This is a great casual restaurant. Great seafood and drinks. Really enjoyed an evening here. Fish tacos were delicious!

We were driving back from the whale watching at P-Town on Cape Cod and got hungry. We asked some locals where we could get some of the famous local oysters called "wellfleets". They directed us to Mac's Shack and we were not disappointed at all. We dined on a dozen freshly shucked oysters, oyster chowder ( made to order!!!), and... More

We ordered the oysters and my husband commented that they were warm and didn't taste fresh. They were not on ice and 24 oysters were poorly presented and some were stacked on each other. One of our friends got extremely sick within 1 hour. I don't know if it is possible to get shellfish poisoning that quickly but he swore... More

Just before arriving at the Pier we stopped here for fresh oysters, but the razor clams had just gotten in and we had those instead. Just slightly cooked in a light mixture of wine, herbs and butter, the clams were delicious. We had to go back the next day for the plump, sweet oysters and the sushi rolls. The day... More

This is a surprisingly good and interesting restaurant tucked away in Wellfleet. A great break from typical summer beach food. The menu is creative and offers lots if interesting choices. A great sushi menu, but also so much more. Only problem is the loooong wait to get in most nights. Try should start taking reservations. I would go more often... More

Fun spot, good food, and attentive service - they hit the basics. The menu has good variety. I had the flounder sandwich tasty all around. The thing that is really special here is the great cocktails. Sitting at the bar watched the bartender mix up all kinds of tasty concoctions with fresh fruit and herbs.

Stopped here for a quick snack on our way to Provincetown, at the Shack. Ordered 1/2 dozen Wellfleet Oysters and ate by the beach.. The oysters were very fresh, but can't help to notice bits of cracked shells in almost every oyster. Wish they scrubbed the oysters before opening them up! None the less, the scenery by the beach was... More

We have been to Mac's a few times and they are always crowded. Avoid the crowds and go for lunch. If you dare to brave the wait be prepared to stand shoulder to shoulder with a crowd and consume overpriced drinks for the alloted time. If they say an hour; count on an hour plus. Once seated you can choose... More

Love this place! Perfect vibe for lazy Sunday in Wellfleet! Sat outside, regge music...great cocktails but also Provence Rose pour moi! Sushi is awesome (try wave roll) as is grilled offerings and Bermuda Chowder.
