Nice location, so-so food. The Cape needs something to raise the bar as this little place demonstrates. The menu offerings are fairly standard as is the resultant product. As we were a family of eight, none of us left with a "can't wait to return" take on the place.

What makes this place special it the freshness of its food. The oysters on the half shell, the steamed lobsters, the fried fish are all fresh and delicious. You place your order, grab a picnic table on the beach, listen for number to be called and dig in.

We were on our family vacation and stopped in for lunch. We had the lobster roll which was about $15 bucks, the fries clam strips which were $15 bucks and a kids meal $7 bucks.. Overall it was good food with a view. The service is at a pick up window and they have picnic tables in the sand. Overall... More

We went as a family and tried both oysters, clam chowder, burgers and kids pasta. I would say the burger and probably the oysters were best. The clam chowder was decent, but nothing special (I you want excellent clam chowder go to Chatham Pier). We paid close to 60 USD, which I think is ok considering it was the dozen... More

I ordered the whole-belly clams basket. The clams were the good and numerous; the fries were not the best but plentiful; the tiny cole slaw portion was fairly bland. Likely you are paying for the pretty view. The big picnic tables are best for big groups. The girls taking orders are nice. $29 with drink for one person.

Spent a week on the cape and tried many different seafood restaurants. At Macs I ordered a swordfish steak sandwich The "steak " was unbelievably thin . At $10.95 I got very little and was still hungry when I finished. My son ordered the fried shrimp.also around $10.00 This didn't include fries -maybe 10 average sized shrimp. My husband had... More

We were only in Cape Cod for 4 days and we happily ate at Mac's Seafood on the Pier every day. Wellfleet oysters on the half-shell, fried oysters, fried full-belly clams, po' boy sandwiches, lobster salad roll, all excellent. I am not a usual Onion Rings fan, but we all really loved Mac's Onion Rings! We also tried the lobster... More

Fresh delicious seafood from this sweet little shack. You can sit right next to the water on their picnic tables. Ample parking. Try the Lobster soup and bring your dogs.

The menu doesn't change when you eat at Mac's whether in the Shack or on the pier. This is the takeout version with almost everything you would find in the restaurant. The difference is that you order and then have lunch or dinner on picnic tables right outside next to the Wellfleet Harbor and Mayo Beach. The menu is fully... More
