Van Rensselaers is a great spot for dining out. I The menu accommodates every taste and has new offerings frequently. The salad bar is the best around. An unusual offering of smaller portions together with the salad bar makes a really good deal. Peter and Diane are wonderful hosts and come around to tables to be sure you are enjoying... More

Good food including a wonderful breakfast menu, we live nearby so we always walk for breakfast. There's plenty of parking, the restaurant is spotless and everything is always good.

My wife and I have been to this restaurant numerous times. They have a great salad bar for an extra charge. They also have half size meals if you want one. The seafood is always fresh. They close in October and reopen in the spring.

We decided to go out for breakfast before we headed home from the Cape. We found this restaurant while driving by and decided to stop in for breakfast. It is very elegant and beautiful. Linen tablecloths and napkins. Friendly staff and the menu was great. The chef was very accommodating. One of the best breakfast that we've had. The eggs... More

The service was good, salad bar had decent variety. Prime rib was excellent *BUT* too many items were bland, almost tasteless, such as Caesar salad, marinated mushrooms, potato salad, and veggies. The pear-squash soup was bland, and had a slightly gritty quality, as did the mashed potato (though flavor was good.) Rolls were brought only on request, and the early... More

Have been to VR's many times. Always a great meal. The salad bar is a big hit with the adults as well as the children in our family. Great meal!

We have been going to Wellfleet and Truro for over 30 years and never stopped at this restaurant. We have always concentrated on restaurants from Wellfleet to Provincetown and South Wellfleet seemed so far away. We have been missing it - this restaurant is a quiet, perfect place for a dinner with two or ten and the service is attentive,... More

A quick stop here for breakfast on my way home from the Cape was delightful. Casual décor with a touch of nautical flair. All staff was extremely friendly and attentive. When was the last time your waitress came to your table just to have a conversation with you? It felt like I was home with family. Cups of coffee that... More

This gem had it all. Our meal was fabulous , tuna and scallops done Mediterranean style: chef Derick a culinary artist and the seasonal bread pudding with cranberry and blueberry topped with caramel sauce and whipped cream. Yum. Attentive staff and most enjoyable. Definitely on the favorites list. Reasonable and option of smaller portions was great. We made reservations but... More
