Fresh indigenous raw bar, on the highway in Wellfleet

On the way to a brief Provincetown day trip, I thought I'd look for some local Wellfleet oysters, considered some of the world's finest shellfish, and googled this place which happens to be right on Route 6, the road that leads to the very end of Cape Cod, terminating in Provincetown. We ordered Stuffed Jumbo Shrimp and Baked North Atlantic Cod....and it ranks as one of the best meals we’ve had. The flavors were familiar, yet unique at the same time. The service and staff were friendly and helpful. We really liked the presentation and decor of the restaurant. I'd definitely go back if I visit cape cod again.

When we arrive at this restaurant, the atmosphere is so congenial we feel that we are being welcomed by old friends. Fabulous salad bar that could be a meal in itself. Reservations needed in the middle of summer. Unfortunately, it's great in the summer, but the restaurant is closed for about six months of the year, opening again in April.

We came across this restaurant looking for a place to eat breakfast & we were not disappointed. The service was excellent & the food was great. I recommend the "Junk Yard Dog" omelet. The chef decides what in ingredients go into it & it's never the same twice.

We arrived here at 5pm in time for the early bird special. $18 for a great meal; we had a choice of about 6 entrees, soup or salad and bread rolls. We were pleasantly surprised by the welcome we received, the menu choice, the cost and the awesome food and service we received. The soup was pear, mushroom and leek,... More

Just would like everyone to know that VR's is consistently very good in the quality and taste of their foods, and the servers blow my mind at what they can remember day to day on the specials! Went for an Early Bird special the other night. My husband had catch of the day which was Cod and I had Calamari.... More

This is an excellent restaurant. The staff is attentive and friendly and the food is consistently very good. The menu is varied and you have the alternative of a full portion or a small sized portion at a slightly reduced price. The salad bar is excellent. It is very child friendly. One is always greeted with a very hearty smile... More

We were on our way to Ptown & got hungry, they served breakfast & that was what we were looking for. The staff is VERY welcoming, dining room is light airy & clean. Seated with a friendly flourish, he got eggs pancakes sausage the usual. I opted for cranberry walnut pancakes, absolutely love at first bite! So good. They have... More

We visited this restaurant as our motel was a few miles away and they suggested it for breakfast. I also looked at online reviews and it really is the best breakfast. We went the next day too as I knew it was a gem. The waitress we had on both visits were fantastic and the lobster eggs Benedict was delicious.... More
