Outstanding food and service

Two nights in a row of outstanding dinners for the whole family at Van Rensselaer's. The "presentation" of fish is a great idea. The seafood linguini is outstanding. The tuna is fantastic! The service is impeccable. Everyone was very solicitous of our allergy. The drinks are great. All in all a... read more

We went for breakfast. The hash and eggs were good and the waitress was nice. For a party of four the bill came to $55 which for breakfast on the cape during the high season was a great surprise.

Went there for breakfast. Nice and clean interior and good service. Our food was fine but nothing out of the ordinary. Eggs were too cooked in the eggs Benedict

For those like my wife who are vegetarians this is the best place to go . They have many options and not just the veggie burger which is what most restaurants serve. Fresh seafood restaurant . Staff is friendly and courteous and prices or a good value. Great salad bar and soups as well.

We have been here quite a few times in the last few years. The owners remember us every time and you are greeted with a big hug and a hearty handshake. Food is excellent and there is something for everyone.Dinner and breakfast only. Decorated with local artists works, which is special.

Diane and Peter do a terrific job running this immaculate restaurant with absolutely wonderful food. If you are going to the Outer Cape make it a point to stop there. They serve regular dinners and a lighter "bistro" size for a few $$ less. This is a must stop restaurant for us.

4 of us went for breakfast and it was very crowded. However we only had to wait about 20 minutes so not too bad. The service was good and the food was excellent. The one complaint I had is that they served my tea with barely warn water and that does not work. Prices were very reasonable and we all... More

Went on a recent weeknight and it was nice. Had a Gorgonzola Burger and it was good. $15 was a little steep for a burger. Others had Scallops and bistro size fish which were fine. Service was a little on the slow side for a weeknight. The dining card seems like a good option as you save 10%.

We were headed to moby's but the line was too long. Under advisement of the wife we headed here. I was expecting another sub par dinning experience as is common in vacation destinations but I have to say, this place was excellent. For starters, I had 1/2 dozen Wellfleet oysters. I was dying to try these well touted delicacies. These... More

Amid all the restaurants serving fried foods, fish & chips, lobster rolls on the Mid/Outer Cape, was pleasantly surprised to stumble across this gem in Wellfleet. Food, Service, and Ambiance were all excellent, and prices were reasonable as well. My wife is vegan and usually has a tough time getting a "real meal", but Van Rensselaer's had multiple vegan options... More
