Lobster cake - no stars

This restaurant has a great location on the waterfront. Went for lunch after a hike. The special was a lobster cake. I had that plus some clam chowder. The cake was greasy, fell apart, mostly crumbs and maybe two pieces of lobster. Very disappointing. The chowder, however, was good.

Above average fare, great location, super service, and generally pretty noisy. Fried seafood is superb - light batter, not greasy.

Four of us for dinner this past Friday and our meals were fantastic! Our server was very friendly, attentive and gave us some great recommendations. Tuna sushima was out of this world good! Nachos were excellent. Swordfish was the best we've ever had. Steaks were excellent cuts, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Only two of us decided to get dessert and... More

We were staying in Wellfleet and headed to another popular restaurant for lunch. It was closed and we ended up at Pearl. So glad we did--we went back again later in the week. The food was fresh, delicious and unpretentious. I had the lobster, brie and spinach quesadilla and my husband had the lobster roll. Other family members had the... More

We were introduced to Pearl by a local couple who has lived on the Cape all their lives. The restaurant embraces the charm of the harbor across the street but does not put on any airs. The fresh oysters were very fresh and delicious! The drinks and beer choices were many and well prepared. The atmosphere is old Cape Cod... More

We found the Pearl on a whim. Mid-week, mid-August, around 7 pm, we were looking for another popular Wellfleet restaurant that had lines out the door. With a young child in tow, we didn't want to wait an hour to eat. There was about a 15 minute wait at Pearl. Food was decent, huge portions. Service was good. Server was... More

Stopped in here on whim and found great music and bar. TVA for watching sports and a great lobster special. The atmosphere is great and the location is superb. Wish we could've stayed longer!!

We have a boat in Wellfleet Harbor and this is very convenient for anyone who's boating in Wellfleet. We started with the tuna sashimi. This was the best dish of the day. A lot of tuna compared to other restaurants. My wife had the iceberg wedge. She thought it had a little too much dressing and it was good but... More

We were shopping in Wellfleet and asked for a recommendation for lunch on the water. The shopkeeper recommended this restaurant. We had great clam chowder and split a delicious lobster roll. Place was friendly and staff was courteous and efficient. Would go back again.

The Pearl (which took over where Captain Higgins was) is one of my absolute favorite restaurants of all time. The seafood is beyond delicious (fresh, not too greasy (if fried) and portions are perfect). The cocktails are yummy and the wine list is very decently priced. Even when it gets busy the staff are always attentive. The view is also... More
