Description: Sol is committed to the outer Cape and sustaining its unique way of life. We source, at every opportunity, from as close to this building as possible. We operate directly with our local fisherman and farmers to provide the freshest and most diverse ingredients this little strip of sand has to offer. All shellfish is from a stones throw away, smaller fin fish from just a little further out into the bay and the big guys often come from the backside of Truro or Chatham. Most produce, mother nature permitting, comes from Eastham, Truro, or not far up Cape. Our eggs come from very happy chickens about a mile away. We know these suppliers on a first name basis not as business acquaintances, but as friends and fellow members of our community. We are members of the New England family farm program. All our meats are sourced through small farms, which in themselves are local communities that we are proud to support. We make all our food from scratch to the best of our training and ability to provide a dining experience that is as unique as our surroundings and true to the environment. Sol promises to only serve real and honest food.

The cuisine is really innovative and fresh. I had a vegetable stir-fry with eggs and spicy rice that was unlike anything I've ever dreamed of eating. It was amazingly good. The server was also really nice.

Went to Sol for the first time. You do need a reservation unless you want to sit at the bar. The staff is lovely and fun. The food was eclectic and interesting and good. But check the menu out before you go as it might not be for everyone. I had a corn and lobster tamale over some greens. I... More

We had made reservations for late Saturday evening. We showed up a bit late, but that was not a problem; they still made room for us. We got there and were greeted by the elegant hostess standing at the door, who was very attentive. We went inside, sat down, and ended up eating the yellowfin tuna and spicy tuna hand... More

I went to Sol the other night and had one of the best meals I've had in the past few years of spending my entire summer at the Cape. I had called ahead for a reservation the morning we went, and had a choice between 7 and 9 pm for a party of two. They reminded me of their cash... More

We went to Sol when they first opened several years ago. The food was fun and different (for Wellfleet) and there was a certain charm to eating off paper plates. Time passed and then Sol wasn't fun. The food wasn't interesting, the portions were minuscule, and we didn't eat there once last summer. I am happy to report that things... More

Sol in Wellfleet is an absolute gem, not sure why the previous poster is so negative considering she's from Wellfleet. it is very traditional Welfleet in that you should not plan on rushing through your meal- the artists take time when plating the sushi and ceviche and the finished product is definitely beautiful! I would recommend calling ahead if you're... More

Sorry, but if you are going to run a restaurant in the same building as the W.H.A.T., and demand cash only, & be closed for most of the day, you'd better be either darn good, or kind, considerate & humble. This place was neither. Finally they open, & while it's right on the beach, no deck, so I aim for... More

We had a delightful dinner in this unassuming restaurant overlooking the Wellfleet harbor. Definitely Asian-influenced cuisine with personal touches from the chef. We split a green papaya salad appetizer featuring very fresh shrimp. My wife had cod with udon noodles and I had a great dish that was a spin on Vietnamese pho soup but with slices of roast pork...
