Best restaurant in Chinle; but both the food and service were a bit uneven. The trout was perfect. Next morning's hot breakfast was as cold as if they had fixed it the night before. Some of the servers got preoccupied. Others made us feel like we were the only folks who mattered. Yes, we would go back.

I think this is the best place to eat in Chinle. Good hearty food with nice people serving you. The roast chicken and Navajo Taco were good and filling. The sald bar was good, but not outstanding. They were lovely to our extended family ages 7-66. Nice clean rest room and a lovely gift shop. The ambiance is quiet, understated, and... More

Not much choice of restaurants in Chinle but we preferred this one. Decor and service was more to out liking and food was as good as elsewhere. Service was a little slow since there was a gathering outside but not unpleasent

this restaurant is located inside the Holiday Inn in Chinle. After a day of touring this was a most welcome place. We has an early dinner at 5:30 so the place was not very busy. The salad bar was fresh and plentiful along with the Fry bread my husband ordered. He said his hamburger was very tasty and it looked... More

It's challenging looking for vegetarian and vegan options, especially in Chinle, but Garcias has a decent salad bar and a veggie fajita that was delicious. They have good meat selections too. Service was good, and it was very busy (a good sign). There are 2 restaurant cdhoices in Chinle, unless you want fast food, and the other place, the Junction,... More

The best thing that Garcia's has going for it is LOCATION, inside the nicely designed and landscaped Holiday Inn very close to the Canyon de Chelly National Historic Park entrance. While the ambiance and style of the restaurant seem quite suitable, the food isn't. I am not sure why they don't just offer a decent complimentary breakfast, nor why they... More

We had read some iffy reviews of Garcias but the Junction was closed the night we went so it was one of very few options in Chinle. The roast chicken was one of the best I've had…it had a crispy outside which tasted like fried chicken without being fried. Great sweet potato fries too….

Clean and Bright this restaurant was next to our motel so going for breakfast was only a walk away! We had breakfast fare which was average..blue corn pancakes large and heavy and needed more syrup than we were given - so asked for more. Bacon was a bit overcooked and greasy - hot tea served in a pot style vessel... More

Garcia's seems to think it's a great restaurant; in our opinion, it isn't. The menu has only big meals with too much food for us. My food had the taste and texture of frozen pre-cooked food. Once our order was taken, finding a wait-person when we needed one was difficult. The ambiance of the restaurant is heavy and dark -... More
