Great rock shrimp

We met family here for a reunion and were happy the tables were large enough for all of us. I had the rock-shrimp and they were delicious. The waitress said they were larger than usual today. A dozen were perfect for me along with broccoli and salad. I did not even dip them in the butter. My spouse... read more

We love Dixie Crossroads. We have been here lots of times and have never had a bad experience. This institution has been here ever since I can remember. Consistently good food, great drinks, and always the best service you'll get anywhere. You must try the rock shrimp.

Had no reservations but the wait passed quickly at the Gazebo Bar. The drinks were well-poured and not skimpy! Barely got seated at our table before our waitress appeared to take our order. Since this was our first visit she was pleasantly patient and clear in her explanations. We opted for the Rock Shrimp and it was worth it. Our... More

Excellent service. Patti was personable and pleasant . Rock Shrimp was excellent broiled. They were tasty and tender. The boiled Ocean Shrimp with the Key West seasoning really good. The fried clams were ok. The fish on the kids menu was good size and very tasty. The corn fritters were unbelievable. We had desert first. The price was right. Excellent... More

I don't know what the big deal is about this place. It's reputation far exceeds the quality of food and the value of food. It is usually very crowded for reasons unknown to me. The portion sizes are pretty small compared to the prices. The food is so-so, and service usually takes a long time and the order is often... More

This restaurant is wonderful! The food is great, but basic nothing too elegant. Mostly seafood options. The service is amazing! Our waitress was Rose, what a gem! She was so busy but she made sure you had what you needed before you even knew you needed it! The place is BUSY. We have been here twice. Getting there right when... More

Stopped by for a late lunch after receiving a recommendation. Neat place, beautiful, low-key decor, very much the east-coast seafood motif. The rock shrimp had been recommended so that is what I had, wonderful stuff with a variety of sauces to dip into. The melted butter was rather bland, but the cocktail sauce was very good and they had a... More

Haven't been to DIxie in 20 years. We stopped in mid-afternoon to get some famous shrimp. We ended up getting the sweet shrimp and it was good, but very much over priced. I ordered an upgrade on the side dish and had a house salad. The bacon was old and the lettuce limp. The fritters were chewy-not crisp like I... More

I have tried all and they are equally good. they also have meals for Landlovers such as prime rib (which is also Great). I love their hushpuppies and the salad is out of... More
