Great service must go here.... the food was superbly delicious. Having pizza was like eating little bites of heaven......... wonderful seafood pasta.. absoluteky loved it
Ate here twice on our recent trip. Once at the bar for happy hour - nice choice of great tapas. Bar server was friendly and attentive. Only downside was HH white wine was a Chardonnay although it wasn't too bad! On our second visit we sat in the restaurant. Pasta was home made and very good. Noise levels were quite... More
I recommend this restaurant. I had a GREAT NY steak and my girlfriend had risotto. I started with a lobster and seafood bisque which was very nice. The bread was very good as well. We didn't have desert. The waiter was great and very attentive. I had three Long Island's. The first two were very good. Then the bartending staff... More
The food was excellent. Portions not what you would expect but plenty to eat. The quality and flavor were awesome. Nice atmosphere. Great service. You could tell the food was home made. Would highly recommend.
Unpretentious corner spot in Little Italy, with nice interior and a few sidewalk tables to enjoy the passing parade. Very good food, great service. Stroll along the street and check out dozens of other places on either side, then double back and stop here -- not as crowded for lunch, not as noisy -- and without the long wait at... More
We really enjoyed Zia's. I was raised in an Italian household, so know what real Italian food tastes like ...and Zia's can deliver on that. We had pizza and pasta, both of which were delicious. The atmosphere is good, but a bit loud. The service was good as well; not overly attentive, but not really lacking either. Prices were fair.... More
In out first visit to San Diego's Little Italy, Zia's half price bottle of wine caught our eye. The wine as fabulous, as we sat at one of the sidewalk tables. We had a taste crepe appetizer with the wine and it was great. To top it off, the price was great! Definite must!
We ate here on Wednesday, when wines are offered at half price and ordered a fine Italian Prosecco. I had as main course a really tasty salad that included walnuts and a wonderful dressing, I finished with a decaf coffee which also was very good. Our waiter originally came from Rome and we had good conversation about Ravenna, which he... More
Went to Little Italy with pizza in mind, but was distracted by their chicken entree that included butternut ravioli. When I asked the waiter assured me everything was scratch made so I opted for this, as good scratch made butternut ravioli is a favourite of mine. The chicken was good, but not too flavourful and I'm sure the ravioli weren't... More
We had dinner at Zia's on Wednesday, which is the night they offer every wine on the menu at half price, so, of course, we ordered one. Excellent. We also decided we both wanted the Ravoli di Zucca (butternut squash filling, amaretto cream sauce and caramelized walnuts--$15.95), so we opted to split an order and follow up with one of... More
