This restaurant is tucked away in a corner and you'd have to be looking for it or else you'd never see it. But it's worth looking for. The food was top-notch. We had a chicken satay appetizer. It came with a peanut sauce and a sweet vinegar concoction, which was awesome. The wife had a delicious pad Thai entree and... More

Our visit to San Diego was highlighted, when taken to this restaurant late one afternoon. We shared multiple orders of appetizers. Food and service were excellent, and the atmosphere delightful.

My wife is Indonesian, so we are always on the lookout for Indonesian restaurants. We happened to find Bali Thai and so we had to try it. It is at the far end of Hotel Circle and a bit hard to fine. It is a small, but very nicely decorated restaurant, with quite a bit of outdoor seating. We got... More

If your not familiar with San Diego, then be sure to load the address in your GPS or you'll never find this hidden gem. On the evening we visited, we arrived just before six pm and business has not gotten cranked up yet. We sat inside and were the only customers for about 30 min and then others started to... More

We were staying just down the street and looked it up prior to going. The menu attached to UrbanSpoon showed cheeseburgers and pizza. We went to their website and saw that they did actually have a thai menu (no cheeseburgers in sight). It is a very small space that may actually have more seating outside in what looks to be... More

My husband and I decided to grab a bite at Bali Thai Cafe, right down the road from our hotel in San Diego. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the service and the Food were a delight. I absolutely love good thai...and it can be difficult to find but this spot was right on point. We had... More

I was stuck without transportation in San Diego's Mission Valley, which is a neighborhood in the north-east. Ordered food as take-out through the delivery service called GrubHub.com. I was eating 3 dinners in a row, so I have had quiet an experience with their selections. Great food, description of the dishes are definitely worth mentioning, because what you read is... More

My wife and I eat out quite a bit. We have probably had Thai from about 6 different resturants. Some of them many times. We ate at Bali Thai while visiting San Diego. While we have only been here once on our second to last night in town, this experience blows all of our others out of the water. The... More

Friendly, prompt service and a menu different from the usual Thai restaurant due to Indonesian influence. We ordered Sambal Daging (thinly sliced beef in Balinese chili sauce) and sauteed vegetables in special sauce. The beef was tender and spicy, perhaps a bit too spicy for my wife's taste but just right for me. Rice was included with the entrees. The... More
