This is the first place I take guests to give them a taste of "San Diego." I love the design of this place. The food (especially the burger and octopus) is fantastic. Drinks are the best... all of them.

We were looking for a restaurant that stayed open late and not too far from where we were staying. This restaurant popped up. Loved the setting and ambience. The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. Service was prompt. Being pescaterian, I got the fish of the day which was sheephead (very good!) with green beans and pesto sauce. Delicious. We... Friends took me to Starlite Lounge last evening - a place I had passed several times on previous trips to San Diego but never stopped in. Its rather nondescript exterior next to the freeway does not hint at the warm ambiance and great food inside. The happy hour specials include $15.00 off bottle so wine - something I've never seen... Tried the chicken jidori, the grilled octopus and the sausage plate. The jidori chicken was perfectly cooked with a crispy baked exterior and amazing flavor. The sausage plate was equally good with some great house sausage. If in the mood for a drink, they make a perfect mule.

This place is away from the main touristy parts of San Diego so is a great place to take out of town guests. Great atmosphere, tasty drinks, and delicious food.

What a little Gem on the outskirts of Downtown. Ambiance was awesome and was able to get a table quickly. This is a quirky small eatery with a bar. A little trendy and hipsterish. The food was awesome, though beware the menu is very very limited. But you should be able to find something for everyone. An adults only kinda... More

The host was not friendly upon entering. The food was mediocre and the ac was turned up so high it was freezing! The 60's decor was the best part of the place.

Just loved this place the moment I walked in. You get card once you step foot inside, so no kids!!! Must start off with a mule. Everything is yummy in your tummy!!! Don't forget to pick up a book of matches on your way out!!!!

I would recommend heading somewhere else for drinks if your party is 8 or more -- if you want decent service. We go to Starlite for dinner a few times a year and enjoy it. For our group of 8, however, we were told that they wouldn't do table service, despite paying $9.00 per drink. They instructed me to order... More

This was a celebration of my daughter's 25th Birthday and it a terrible experience ! Do not, I repeat, do not eat at this restaurant !! The food was horrible, the atmosphere was bad and the staff was all on something and incoherent. Our reservation was mixed up, so they sat our party of 7 at separate tables. The menu... More
