Great music. Great drinks. Perfect evening with friends. And alot of laughs. Funny people, and excellent performers.

In an almost empty bar it was amazing that the staff would not let us put two tables together. A group of 8 would have made their night but the servers let us walk. Sorry bit please don't waste your time.

Apparently you need to risk taking your passport out if you're from overseas as my wife and I were turned away with our Australian driver's licences. This is despite us being in our 30s, my having grey hair, and the date of birth being listed on the licences. The Shout House came highly recommended so it's unfortunate we couldn't experience... I can't stand "clubs", that's why I love this place. It's a great bar, with a young crowd and a fun time. It's close by to the trolley which makes easy to get to and from.

Not big on waiting in line to get into a place. Cover charge was $10, piano players were great and the bartenders were awesome. It was standing room only so that stunk.

Always have a good time hear. Crowds are great, but the musicians are even better. On Friday/Saturday you need to get there by 6 if you want to get what tables are left and also you can avoid the cover charge. If your into draft beer buy the re-fillable cup (I think 16oz). $8 for the first, $6 refill

All Four musicians were fantastic. They can sing and play ANYTHING. They have a great sense of humor and crowd engagement. My only warning is if you plan to have a couple drinks and call it an early night, this is not the place for you. I intended on staying until 10:30 pm as I had business the next day... More

If you LOVE music and can't resist singing along to your radio or iPod, this may be perfect for you! My husband and I wandered in just as the place was filling up (around 6:00 p.m.). We didn't know that reservations are recommended, and they sent us to the bar where there was SRO. I asked the big guy at... More

Shout House is one of my favorite places to go for a great time with a group of friends. It's loud and interactive, and the music is always different, since the audience requests the songs. The rotating piano players are extremely talented and really know how to get the crowd involved.

Such a fun thing to do with people who come into town to visit you in San Diego. The food is NOTHING you want to waste your belly on, especially when you are in the middle of tons of great downtown restaurants. Eat a great dinner BEFORE you get there & enjoy the show! The pianist/entertainers are all amazing &... More
