Wow

Dont expect the ritz, but come hungry and leave blissful. Cafeteria style, order at the counter. Betcha cant eat two of their fish tacos without pain! What an unbelievable find. If it isn't fresh they dont serve it.

We went seeking some good fish tacos and found decent tacos. We tried halibut, ahi, beer battered lobster, and blackened scallops tacos among 3 of us. Halibut was a little dry and the blackening season wasn't very flavorful, but the lobster and scallops were good and the baja toppings were yummy (be sure to add the avocado for 50 cents).... More

Zagat, TripAdivsor etc steered us wrong on this one. Based on the reviews I was expecting a Paia Fish market experience, but was sadly disappointed. The wait is very long, but that would be OK if the food was good. Waiting in line you see the counters of great looking fresh fish. We ordered a fish taco and a fish... More

Stand in line and order. Small outdoor patio. Food was simple, fresh and very-very good! Neat idea on pick your seafood and how you want it prepared. Food came out quickly even though place was crowded. We heard better to come at off-time for less crowed conditions.

Despite the long wait (1 hr +), we enjoyed dining at Blue Water Seafood. The staff was helpful and the menu gives diners plenty of options. The highlight of the meal was the simple lemon-garlic grilled halibut with salad and rice (catch of the day). The seafood soup and ahi tuna and fried lobster tacos were just alright. A word... More

Line up to place your order, sit and savour. The system makes the best use of limited space and Blue Water's prepared-to-order system. Result is the best fresh fish in the area. We enjoyed grilled blue fin belly and scallops on salad and ahi suhi. Wonderful!

This place has terrific seafood and its all really fresh. Be patient if there is a line at the door because it's worth it. Each day they have a choice of fish that's locally caught that you can have as an entree or that you can mix and match as tacos. I've had the mahi and grouper tacos from here... More

We love this tiny fish market so much that on our last layover in SAN, we took a $20.00 taxi ride there, waited in line for 40 minutes to place an order at the counter, food arrived in about 10 minutes , and we took a $9.00 Uber ride back to SAN. That is how much we love the fresh... More

After seeing this restaurant on DDD we wanted to stop in, since we were visiting San Diego. We got there on a Sunday at 11:15AM and there was already a line of about 10 people. Within 10 minutes, there were 20 more people behind us and by the time it opened at 11:30, the line was out the door for... More
