The fish is so fresh and delicious that even though you have to hunt for parking and stand in line to place your order, it's all worth it. While waiting in line to place your order, get the menu so that you can make your decision before you get to the counter, as there are so many options. I usually... More

Like the others here, this place was very impressive! We had 6 oysters on the half-shell - yummy, fresh, with a nice spicy sauce you could put on top. We also had calamari, nice, but too much breading to be a favorite of mine. I had the fresh local halibut with a mix of blackened and lemon sauces - AMAZING!... More

Amazing. So good. Great local place, fewer tourists. You can choose from a ton of different really fresh fish, choose your seasonings, and choose your vehicle (salad, sandwich, taco, etc). We came with my friend who is local to San Diego, he was dying to take us here. I really can't say too much about how great it is. Really... More

I picked this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews, and was pretty happy with my choice, but there were a couple surprises. First, I couldn't tell that this was the kind of place where you order at the counter, then they deliver--not really my idea of table service, but the food was good, and a great value, so not a... If you love all you can eat fried shrimp, keep walking; but, if you love fresh grilled local fish, stroll into this unassuming San Diego treat. The local opa blackened with lemon butter was outstanding as was the Mahi Mahi. On a later visit, we enjoyed the scallops.

Saw this place on Food Network's "Diners, Drive-ins, & Dives" so wanted to check it out. Despite the TV appearance, little hype. Just good, honest food cooked to order - very good! I had the grilled blackened Halibut sandwich and fried Calamari. Both were delicious! Highest marks for flavor. An easy, and worthwhile, walk from the Washington St. Trolley station.

If you're looking for some fresh fresh seafood, look no further. We ordered a variety of fresh tacos and the scallop ceviche. We left with our plates empty and out stomachs full. Blue Water has some of the best fish tacos I've experienced. The menu had a large selection of fish to choose from and many different ways to prepare... More

Went here based on other reviews on TA. No hype here; just good honest food fixed to order and very, very good! Wife had the Wild King Salmon taco and grilled shrimp taco. The silence across the table was because she couldn't stop eating the food. I had the Seafood Soup-oh my! How about an A+ rating for flavor and... More

If you happen to be in downtown San Diego, you've got to try this place if you're craving for some of the best fresh fish tacos ever. There's quite a selection of fish, cooked / grilled to order. Even their ceviche was amazing. The place is small and there's always a line so be patient. It's so worth it!

We found this place, thanks to Tripadvisor. Real casual. Had blackened Shark which was perfect. The Jasmine rice had a great flavor. Ate outside on the porch which couldn't have been nicer. Food was reasonably priced, a great value.
