I've always enjoyed Nobu San Diego everytime I've visited San Diego. Its always been excellent (on some occasion, very good). However,on this latest trip, we were very disappointed. The fish/sushi dishes were still excellent. No complaints. The beef dish was just OK. I thought the NY Steak was very tough and the temperature was all wrong (we asked for medium... More

There is nothing really to say about Nobu - other than if you like Japanese and Sushi, this is a must eat restaurant when in San Diego. All of the food is incredible. It looks amazing and it tastes amazing. My top picks would be the tuna tacos and the soft shell crab with pickled watermelon. They are life changing!... More

We love Nobu and consider it a special occasion kind of place because it can get PRICEY. We experienced wonderful attentive, service and the Tempura Crab is a personal favorite. We had two orders, but MAN! is it great.

I've been to Nobu NY, my trip to NY was my first experience with japanese omakase and I fell in love with the restaurant. I didn't expect the SD location to be on par with NY, however I was still expecting a decent meal. Boy was I disappointed. We paid for the $120 travelzoo deal for the set dinner. Based... More

I've always heard Nobu is the best place to go get sushi. Well they were right. We ordered the rock shrimp and tempura shrimp roll. So delicious that it melted in our mouths. Would highly recommend. Little pricey, but well worth it.

I was invited to a departmental dinner here; we sprawled across several tables during a busy event and the staff were attentive and patient with us. I don't eat any seafood at all, and had not expected much to come from this experience... but they had a beef and a chicken skewer that combined made a great meal. The bento... More

We went there for dinner with another couple. The setting was familiar as it looks like most Nobu restaurants around the world. The service was good and so was the food. However we didn't experience anything special. The seafood was fresh but again nothing special. The mood was a bit dull. In other Nobu's you sometimes get a certain feel of... More

Nobu in Malibu has been a favorite for 15+ years. In Las Vegas and NYC it is a noisy scene, no longer special. We went the other night for the travel zoo 7 course 'premium' dinner that costs $229 for 2 with a value of $375. Not only was it no where near the value of a $375 dinner for... More

Loved this place! went there to celebrate our anniversary and loved both the food and the ambiance. The dress code is supposed to be a dressed up but you can still find people dressed in casual attires. It is kind of loud but it won't bother you if you like lounge music and you are not going with a large... More
