Split a seven course tasting menu featuring hamachi, yellow tail, fluke and seared tuna. Excellent quality of fresh fish, lightly dressed and delicious. The miso cod was very sweet and buttery in texture and my friend enjoyed the fried shrimp in a tangy, peppery cream sauce. Try the chocolate peanut butter dessert served with a shortbread biscuit - it's for... More

If you aren't expecting this place to be pricey, then you've never heard of Nobu. That said, it's an experience to dine there and our service was very good. We had a table of 10 people and, instead of trying to all order different items, the server asked for our budget ($100/per person) and then brought items out family style.... More

Whenever I am in a city that is home to one of the many Nobu restaurants I try to have a meal there. San Diego Nobu did not disappoint. We fully anticipated having to sit in the bar, but luckily a table became available. Once again we put ourselves into the hands of our very competent waiter, told him our... More

Sushi selection was awesome and it was delicious. Convenient downtown location surrounded by shops and bars. Tried the giant clam and a few other tasty items I had never had before. Casual, and not super stuffy like some high end sushi places are.

They serve a standard "signature" dinner of 7 dishes for 2 persons for those who purchased a Travelzoo coupon for $119.00. Of the 7 only two are good and the rest rates between ok to poor. The end result was a disappointment and if you wish to visit this restaurant, don't buy a coupon but go for the regular menu... More

Having heard about the legendary Nobu franchise, we went here for a casual meal at the sushi bar. We tried a number of appetizers and rolls, as well as talked to the shushi chef and made friends with folks sitting next to us. Overall, a lovely experience. We were prepared for smallish servings and used this to try some different... More

I've only tried sushi a few times in my life. When in San Diego visiting relatives a family member who really is into sushi suggested we try Nobu. Not shy to try different things, I was all in. And it was incredible! We tried a myriad of different appetizer dishes and main course dishes and shared across the table. Every... More

Expect small servings for high prices, but exceptional flavours. They have a good sake selection as well. Service is professional although the place needs more intimacy in its ambience.
