I truly believe the crud left on the deck of my boat after a day of fishing is more appetizing than the so called food I was just served at NOBU. The sushi came out warm and slimy, I've had better sushi at a $15 all you can eat sushi buffet. Do not waste your money, go to mcdonalds and... More

I visited San Diego late September to attend my nephews graduation from culinary school. He wanted to eat at Nobu as part of his graduation gift. My husband is a winemaker and we are fortunate to have dinned at many fine restaurants and to have many friends that are chefs. I have to say I was pretty disappointed with our... More

Nobu never disappoints... and no surprise that this location was also excellent. The sushi was awesome. Sat at the bar at happy hour. Cocktails were dee-lish and happy hour apps were an added bonus. Sushi is excellent. Would definately recommend.

Coming from Los Angeles, we are used to Matsuhisa Nobu's original restaurant and have dined at many Nobu's around the world. This restaurant is located in the Hard Rock Hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter, across from the convention center. As many reviewers have pointed out, it is not really very trendy anymore. Many restaurants nearby had many more patrons. Compared... More

Perfectely well located in San Diego. Reservation done by Amex Travel a day before, we asked for a suggested menu for USD 100.- per person which was surprising and good. It is not a trendy place anymore. Excellent service.

We heard many good things about Nobu and as we were in San Diego, we decided to check this place out! We went on Monday September 22, and walked in at around 9 PM. We were greeted by a very kind hostess, who seated us with courtesy. I mention her, because we were both very impressed by her sincerity and... More

I love Nobu and have been to many of them, but my very first trying the The Happy Hour here - I have to say it's awesome, the menu is filled with great items to try. We had a bottle of their Nigori sake ... it was absolutely delicious. We really enjoyed the Warm Mushroom Salad, Nobu Style Tasting Spoons,... More

We visited Nobu for restaurant week, and were very pleased with the flavor profiles of the meals. The tuna appetizer with wasabi salsa was amazing, and the sushi was some of the best we've had. It was a fixed price menu, and you had to order for the table. Overall, not a lot of food was served for a fairly... More

We went here twice, we tend to have a good lunch then light dinner, so happy hour was perfect for us. We tried all of the small plates over the 2 nights and were all delicious, though we did have the spicy crab legs twice, they were sooo good. Check out the menu on the web. This is a great... More
